Family on Their Knees Heart Turned to Ice novel Chapter 851

"I'll make sure someone captures photos and videos from every angle, so don't worry about a thing. I'll even throw in a generous bonus for you."

Vesper's eyes lit up. Extra cash was always a good thing.

"As long as you understand the rules, I'm fully on board. Just tell me how you want the video to look, and I'll play my part."

Though the job was far from decent, Vesper had never claimed to be a decent woman anyway. As long as the payout was high enough, nothing else mattered.

Seeing her so cooperative, Debbie Harris smiled, satisfied that she had found the perfect bait. Once those photos and videos were in her hands, she refused to believe she couldn't extort a massive ten million dollars out of that stubborn old man. As soon as the funds cleared, she planned to take the money and vanish. There was no way she was actually going to hand over a staggering ten-million-dollar bridal gift to Bella Ward. Did Bella even deserve it? Ten million dollars just to marry into the family? What a joke!

After finalizing the details with Vesper, Debbie waited until the chess game in the parlor was winding down. Seizing the moment right after Old Mr. Blake won the match, she instructed the staff to bring in fresh tea.

Relaxing after his victory, the old man had no reason to be suspicious. Parched from the game, he picked up the teacup and drained it without a second thought.

His opponent, having lost the match, made a quick exit. Old Mr. Blake sat alone, casually admiring the antique chess pieces he had just won, when a sudden, heavy wave of dizziness hit him. Exhausted, he slumped over the table to rest his eyes.

Seeing this, Debbie immediately signaled two staff members to help the disoriented old man into the elevator. They guided him to the second floor and practically carried him into a room heavily draped in exotic, romantic decor. Then, she gestured for Vesper to move in. Vesper didn't hesitate, immediately reaching for his coat.

Old Mr. Blake felt an unnatural, suffocating heat spreading through his veins. A terrifying memory from decades ago suddenly clawed its way to the surface of his mind, and his instincts screamed at him to push the woman away. But Debbie coldly ordered Vesper to be bold and ignore his struggles, giving the woman the green light to drop all restraint.

Old Mr. Blake's body was rapidly failing him. His limbs felt like lead, and only a tiny shred of consciousness remained, fighting desperately against the drug. The situation spiraled out of control as Vesper aggressively tried to strip him.
