Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 1001

Chapter 1001

“Seeing how patient you are, you’re definitely gonna make a great dad in the future” Ms. Simmons complimented

Charlie chuckled, but didn’t respond. He never expected to grow so fond of Kya. Could it be that he was getting old and developed the desire to be a father?

Charlie found himself slightly ridiculous.

Ms. Simmons said, “You mind looking after Kya for a bit? I need to go downstairs to do some grocery shopping. When Kya wakes up, I cook her something.”

“Rest assured, I’ll take care of her. Go do your thing!” Charlie responded in a low voice.

Ms. Simmons replied politely, grabbed her keys and purse, and headed out the door.

The room quieted down, the afternoon sun warmed the room, creating a serene atmosphere

Charlie looked down at Kya, who was sleeping soundly and peacefully. He couldn’t help but hold Kya tight. Her faint milky scent brought tranquility to his heart

He gazed down at her for a while, until a phone call interrupted him. He frowned unconsciously and immediately hit the mute button.

He checked the incoming call, hung up and responded with a text message.

After dealing with the situation, Charlie casually looked around the living room. The daisies in the vase were starting to wilt, indicating that the lady of the house must be really busy and didn’t have time to care for them.

On the chest of drawers leaning against the wall was a music box shaped like a princess castle. The prince and princess, who were once dancing togethet were now separated, each looking at the other from a distance.

Perhaps when the switch was flipped, and the music started playing, they would reunite and start to dance again.

Looking at the delicate castle, Charlie couldn’t help but think of another girl

Was she doing well? Did she ever think of him? Did she have a boyfriend?

Being abroad, she needed someone by her side, so she wouldn’t feel alone.
