The boys laughed and shoved each other, eventually racing back down the slide. Seeing that it was almost time, they hurried to prepare their special performance for Norah.
A row of drones sat on the grass. One by one, they lifted off, buzzing toward the center of the garden above the lawn.
The six boys stood tightly together, each holding two or three controllers. They stared intently at their screens, occasionally glancing up at the sky, their youthful faces entirely serious.
The drones hovered in perfect formation, shifting and adjusting until they formed the shape of a massive human figure in the sky. Thanks to the synchronized lights, it looked exactly like a stylish dancer towering above the party, perfectly timed to the upbeat music blasting over the speakers.
The guests in the garden all looked up, gasping in awe.
An energetic, infectious beat echoed through the air as the dancer began to move. The choreography was fluid—sometimes intensely powerful, sometimes comedic, even seamlessly switching between modern hip-hop and elegant ballet.
Seeing a high-tech robotic light show perform ballet had the entire crowd roaring with laughter.
Norah was laughing too. Realizing who was behind it, she looked around, searching for Henson.
In the distance, Charlie watched the spectacular show in the sky, turning to Jonathan. "Henson put this together for Norah, didn't he?"
Jonathan glanced up and nodded. "Yeah. He programmed the entire sequence himself."
Charlie let out a low whistle of admiration. "Like uncle, like nephew."
The Lamont family's absurdly high IQs were frankly intimidating.
As the dance ended, the drones broke formation, spinning wildly in the air for a moment before raining colorful confetti and fresh flower petals down over the crowd, marking the end of the show.
Everyone was left wanting more.
Norah immediately called Henson. "Where are you? Come out here and get your praise!"
Henson laughed through the phone. "Did you like it?"
"I loved it!" she beamed. "You designed all of that just for me!"
Everyone else had to strain their necks to look up, but sitting back in her wheelchair, she had the perfect, comfortable view!
