Lorelei tossed her hair with a playful smile. "I actually have a culinary certification. I'm a pro. Just wait for the masterpiece!"
She sauntered over to the grill and leaned down to grab the seafood. After a split second of hesitation, she deliberately pulled out one of the expensive Astorian blue lobsters instead of her own. She called out, "Caleb, come help me prep this!"
Caleb immediately scrambled over. Standing next to the wealthy, conventionally attractive Lorelei, he looked visibly nervous and submissive. "What do you need me to do?"
"It's already been cleaned," Lorelei instructed, stepping in close. "First, we drain it, then cut it right here."
She had Caleb hold the massive lobster while she positioned the kitchen shears. She pressed in tightly, her heavy perfume washing over him. Caleb's heart hammered in his chest, his face turning bright red as he barely comprehended a word she was saying.
Watching the performance from the picnic blanket, Sara shot a sympathetic look at Holly.
It was blatantly obvious. Lorelei was a serial flirt who thrived on male validation. After striking out spectacularly with the intimidating Gonzalez and getting completely shut down by Adrian, she had zeroed in on the easiest target: the naive, starstruck recent grad.
She didn't even care that his girlfriend was sitting right there.
And Caleb clearly lacked the backbone to handle it. He was practically melting into a puddle for her.
Sara leaned slightly toward Norah and murmured, "I just realized our boss and Mr. Hanson are actually pretty top-tier men."
Norah looked at her in confusion. "Where is this coming from?"
Sara flashed a knowing, cynical smile. "Just keep watching. You'll see."

Lorelei placed the prepped lobster onto the grill and suddenly dusted off her hands. "I need to use the restroom, but it's so dark out there!"
The campsite's facilities were a few hundred feet away, illuminated by a single flickering bulb at the end of a pitch-black dirt path.
Caleb offered instantly, "I'll walk you."
Lorelei flashed him a sultry smile. "Thanks, Caleb."
