I struggled to sit up, but Steven was suddenly on top of me, pushing me down again.
I panicked. There was nothing on the sofa. It seemed he had learned his lesson; there were no sharp objects nearby that I could use to hurt him, or myself.
"Steven! Let me go! Let me go!"
He silenced me with his lips, a searing kiss that swept in with unstoppable force.
"I won't let you go again. Once was enough! Zephyra, I will not repeat the same mistake!"
He took me, completely and utterly, again and again.
My hair was a mess, and in my despair, I bit down hard on his shoulder. Steven's upper body was lean and powerful, all defined muscle and sharp lines. Hitting him just made my hands hurt.
"I hate you, Steven! I hate you so much!"
He didn't fight back, letting me struggle as I pleased. His eyes seemed to pierce through mine, searching for something in their depths.
"Hate me all you want. Hate me enough to want to ruin me, hate me enough to want to kill me. Just hate me," he kissed me deeply, his lips curling into a cold smirk. "It's not like you'd ever forgive me even if I did nothing at all."
“Something he wanted but couldn't have. At first, he chose to endure, exhausting nearly all his strength, only to finally realize he couldn't bear it any longer.”
“In that case, he would follow his heart's desire. By any method, by any cost — she will be mine.”
“It was better than losing her again, being left alone with his obsessive, sick longing.”
In a haze, I vaguely heard Steven say something like that. But he was too rough, my body ached terribly, and my head was spinning. Soon after, I lost consciousness.
When I woke up, it was late at night. My entire body was sore; the slightest movement brought a flood of memories crashing back.
Steven.
That animal!
My face was a blank mask as I clenched the bedsheets beneath me, the hatred in my eyes boiling over.
A hot body was holding me tightly from behind, skin against skin. Without looking, I could imagine the dominant, possessive way Steven was holding me.
