Miracle Cutie (Amelia and Benjamin) novel Chapter 505

Chapter 505 Don’t Fight Them Yourself

Hugh went on, “Her hands are so delicate. They hurt even if I hold them too tight.”

Donna was completely thrown off by what he was saying

She wanted to cut him off, but didn’t dare.

Finally, when he finished, she forced herself to stay calm and replied, “Ms. Moore’s hand looks fine. Lorna’s face is much worse. Mr. Riley, could you talk to the director? Ask him to reconsider the termination.”

She begged Hugh humbly to step in.

Hugh said, “Sure. If you want me to speak to him, put him on.”

Donna breathed a huge sigh of relief now that Hugh had agreed.

She held the phone out to Gerard.

But when Gerard took it, he didn’t speak right away.

He put the call on speaker first, then held the phone out toward Benjamin obediently.

Benjamin stared coldly at the screen and spoke into the phone, “Hugh. Who exactly are you trying to defend here?”

Hugh sounded confused. “Benjamin? Did you switch to directing? That doesn’t make sense.”

Before Hugh could process it, Gerard jumped in quickly to tattle. “Mr. Riley, it’s Gerard. Mr. Graham came to visit Ms. Wilson on set today.

“Ms. Wilson had a fight with Donna, too.

“She says Donna spread awful rumors about her and you.

“Donna said Ms. Wilson was-”

Gerard didn’t even finish the sentence before Hugh swore loudly.

Hugh snapped, “Hell, stop right there.

“Gerard, send that termination contract right now.

“If you want to drop her, go ahead. Don’t worry about me.

“Now I insist you drop her. Do it fast.”

Hugh was uncommonly urgent.

As he rushed Gerard to end the contract, he raised his voice and called to Benjamin.

Hugh said, “Benjamin, you still there? I missed your call earlier.

“I just got my phone. I didn’t ignore you to take her call on purpose.

“Don’t be mad at me, okay?

“And I had nothing to do with that stuff about Amelia-

Hugh kept rambling, but Benjamin was already done listening.

Benjamin didn’t hit women, so he didn’t lay a hand on Donna.

But now she’d been fired from the set, and her entire career would be blocked off.

He didn’t bother wasting another glance at her.

Nina, whom Amelia had carried away earlier, came running back crying.

Benjamin saw her rushing toward him and took a few long steps forward to catch her.

Nina cried, “Daddy, Daddy, go.”

She hit Benjamin with her tiny hands and drove toy cars into him at home, but when it mattered, she loved Benjamin more than anything.

She hadn’t been able to stay away with just Amelia-she needed Benjamin, too.

Benjamin held her with one arm and wiped the tears from her face with the other.

He said softly, “Okay, Daddy’s coming. Stop crying.”

Benjamin walked forward with Nina, and Amelia hurried over to join them.

Amelia explained, “Nina insisted on coming back for you. I couldn’t hold her. I swear she’s getting stronger.”

Amelia was at her wits’ end with Nina’s superhuman strength.

The three of them walked together.

When they reached the outside, Stella was gone-she’d already left.

Amelia looked around and said, “Stella was absolutely furious today.”

Benjamin turned to her and asked, “What about you? Did it make you angry?”

Amelia smiled, shaking her head, “I was really mad at first… but then you showed up, and I wasn’t anymore.

“I know you’ll stand up for me. Thank you, Benjamin.”

Her sweet smile made Benjamin think she looked just like Nina-adorable and impossible not to love.

The couple stared at each other, and for a second, the air felt sweet and warm-but only for a second.

Because the next moment, Nina, still perched on Benjamin’s arm, cut in.
