They need proper care,” Pearl said while untying it. “She made a bunch of tonics and herbs herself. She told me to watch you take them for a whole month so your body fully recovers and you won’t have problems later.”

I glanced at the items. There were Heartguard Tonic, Nourishing Pills, soothing skin balms, and rows of medicine bottles.

“This must’ve cost a lot,” I said with a small smile. “She always gives me the best. Share some with Mr. Songler. He’s older. He needs it more.”

“Faulkner already sent some to him,” Pearl replied.

I nodded.

Faulkner always handled things carefully. I rarely had to worry.
