My ex husband wants me back (Daven and Althea) novel Chapter 798

Althea smiled brightly. “You’re right. That’s exactly why I love this camping idea so much.”

“You don’t love the person who came up with the idea?” Daven asked, pointing at himself.

Althea clicked her tongue. “Why should I?”

“So you don’t love me anymore?” Daven stared at her in disbelief. “Really?”

“Good grief, Daven,” Althea warned awkwardly. She was worried that other shoppers might have heard what he had just said. “Could you stop saying random things?”

“I’m not saying random things,” the man replied with a mournful expression. “So... you really don’t love me anymore.”

“Isn’t the question ‘Do you love me?’ usually something a woman asks her boyfriend or husband?” Althea grumbled irritably. “So why are you the one asking it?”

Daven grinned broadly. “Let’s just say that, for today, I’ve claimed ownership of that question.”

“There’s no such thing.”

Daven burst out laughing.

After nearly two hours of wandering around the supermarket, they had finally purchased everything they needed. Their cart was almost overflowing, and they quickly completed the payment before loading all the supplies into the car.

Althea let out a relieved sigh as she adjusted the strap of her shoulder bag. She assumed they would head straight home to begin packing, considering that evening was already approaching.

However, on the drive back, Daven did not take the route toward the Miller residence. Instead, he headed in a different direction, causing Althea, who had been quietly enjoying the ride, to ask, “Where... are we going?”
