"I felt something was off when they agreed so easily. It must have been fake all along, just to humiliate us!" Lily complained.
"No, I don't think they'd be that bored. Aurelis Holdings wouldn't play games like that. There must be a reason. Never mind, let's go back first and figure it out later."
Just as they were about to leave, Cathy arrived.
Seeing Daniel being kicked out, Cathy smiled triumphantly.
"Well, well, Uncle Daniel. What happened to you?" Cathy asked.
"Cathy, what are you doing here?" Daniel asked curiously.
"I'm here to discuss a partnership with Aurelis Holdings, obviously. Uncle, did you get thrown out?"
"None of your business," Daniel said coldly.
"Hahaha! Uncle, this Aurelis Holdings deal is mine. You'd better stop fighting the Second Branch and just hand over control of the company. It'll be better for everyone!"
"Mr. Whelan, let's not waste time on her," Lily urged.
Daniel certainly wouldn't lower himself to argue with his niece.
He turned to get in the car.
"Mr. Whelan, if we can't get the Aurelis contract, there's no way Miss Cathy can. It's not that easy to get a deal with them. Don't worry!" Lily comforted him.
But Daniel still felt uneasy.
"Cathy seemed very confident. Miss Vale's sudden change in attitude might have something to do with her."
"If that's the case, Mr. Whelan, what do we do next?"
"Let's wait and see what happens with Cathy."
Cathy walked into Aurelis Holdings.
Knowing she was there, Nancy Vale came out personally to welcome her.
"Nancy!"
"Cathy, you're finally here. We almost had a mix-up. So sorry about that!" Nancy said with a smile.
"It's fine. We made it in time."
