“You really don’t know your place. Did you think just because you got close to Dylan, he’d actually look at you?”
Gloria was fuming when she heard the mockery. She turned around to see a familiar face.
“Why are you here? Is this a place you’re even allowed in?” Gloria demanded.
Bianca’s family had been kicked out long ago.
Dad didn’t even acknowledge the mother and daughter duo. What right did she have to be here?
“You think you’re the only one allowed in? I have my own ways, not that it’s any of your business. As for you, you really are your mother’s daughter—so eager to be a homewrecker? It was bad enough your mother was a mistress, but now you want to insert yourself into someone else’s relationship? It’s laughable.”
“You...” Gloria raised her hand, ready to slap her.
“What? You want to hit me? Go ahead. I’d love for everyone to see just how classless the Fairchild heiress really is. Trash is trash, no matter how you dress it up,” Bianca sneered.
“You b*tch! Just you wait!” Gloria stomped off in a rage.
Elena watched their quiet confrontation from a distance.
Perhaps now she understood why Bianca was so desperate to climb the social ladder.
“Mr. Sinclair, it’s an honor.” Someone spotted Dylan and came over to network.
These looked like Dylan’s business associates.
“Go ahead. I’ll be fine by myself,” Elena said.
“Alright, I’ll be back in a bit!” Dylan grabbed a drink and walked off with them.
After he left, a waiter brought over a dessert.
“Miss, your dessert.”
“I didn’t order any dessert,” Elena said, puzzled.
“Oh, the gentleman from earlier asked us to prepare it for you.”
“Okay, just put it there.”
Elena picked it up and took a small bite. Immediately, she sensed something was off.
Heh.
