"Mom, you're blaming me? How is this my fault?"
Mrs. Carter, standing in her pajamas with her arms crossed, scoffed coldly. "If I don't blame you, who should I blame? I don't know what bad luck fell on this family to have you marry in. My son and Claire were doing just fine. If you hadn't stuck your nose in where it didn't belong, we wouldn't be in this mess. You brought this on yourself! Nothing good happens when you're around!"
With that, Mrs. Carter turned and went back to her room.
"Argh!" Cathy screamed in frustration.
This was truly the worst wedding night in history.
Not only did her husband almost strangle her and then run away, but her mother-in-law was treating her like dirt. She was going to explode.
Back in her room, she pulled out her phone again and dialed Maggie Whelan.
Maggie was half-asleep when the phone rang.
"Mom, I can't stay here another second. You don't know how awful Justin is being, and his mother... she treats me like..."
"Enough!" Maggie interrupted impatiently.
"It's only your first day there and you're already causing a scene. It's the middle of the night. If you're not sleeping, I am. You chose this path, so deal with it. Stop bothering me!"
Maggie turned her phone off immediately.
Realizing even her own mother wouldn't listen to her, Cathy's anger boiled over.

At the Fairchild family villa.
Bianca returned home to find the servants looking anxious.
Realizing something was wrong, she rushed upstairs.
"This is my room! Throw that bitch's stuff out! Get rid of all of it!" Gloria was back.
