Arthur chimed in from the side, "Maybe forget it, Sir. If you lost, you lost. Maybe we just don't have the destiny to turn the tables today."
"No! I'll borrow it! I don't believe I'll be unlucky forever!" Derek was suddenly triggered.
Tyler snapped his fingers, and a subordinate brought up a contract.
"Mr. Sterling, look over the contract carefully. A hundred million—is that enough? Repay the principal and interest within three days. Otherwise, you know the drill."
Derek looked it over. The interest wasn't too high; compared to those black-hearted loan sharks, this was actually quite reasonable.
But, a hundred million right off the bat...
"Is this a bit too much? I only wanted a few tens of millions to win back my losses," Derek asked.
Tyler shot him a sharp look. "The rule here is that we start at a hundred million! Can't you see that our interest rates are much lower than anyone else's?"
That was true. Otherwise, how could there be such a good deal?
After thinking it over, Derek steeled his heart, signed his name, and pressed his fingerprint onto the document.
Shortly after, someone brought over several cases of cash.
"Here is one hundred million. Keep it safe."
"Thank you, Mr. Smith! Thank you, Mr. Smith!" Derek was overwhelmingly grateful.
After Derek left, Elena walked out from behind the curtain.
The murderous Mr. Smith, upon seeing Elena, immediately started acting like a petulant child.
"Boss, it's all done! That Derek was too easy to handle. Once someone gets hooked on gambling, they're the easiest to trap. Come on, reward me!"
The bodyguards below couldn't believe their eyes.
Was this their master, Mr. Smith?
The bloodthirsty, unblinking killer, Mr. Smith?
He was actually whining for a reward!
"Boss, reward, reward!"
Smack!
Elena slapped his arm, then glared at him.
"Doesn't hurt, doesn't hurt, hit me again, Boss!"
