"Hmph! I think you're just terrified that I'm going to steal your spotlight! Let me make this clear: I am executing this project, and Dad gave me the green light. You aren't the only one in the Fairchild family who knows how to run a business!" Gloria declared with total arrogance.
With that, she lifted her chin and strutted away.
Bianca watched her walk off and let out a cold, mocking laugh.
She pulled out her phone and dialed Sean.
"The fish took the bait!"

Evergold Heights.
When Elena returned home, she noticed everyone was gathered in the living room.
"Why did Chris come home so early today?" Elena asked.
Chris smiled. "Mom and Dad said they are planning a wedding for Ben and Elise, so I came back early."
Elena's eyes widened in pleasant surprise. "A wedding? Ben is getting married?"
Ben rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Haha, yeah. Your big brother is getting married, Elena. You've got to give me your blessing!"
"Of course I do! My brother getting married is a massive event for the family. We definitely need to plan this out properly. Don't worry about the bridal gift, I'll personally take care of it!"
Amanda chimed in, "What a coincidence. Your second brother said the exact same thing."
Daniel added seriously, "We absolutely cannot shortchange Elise's family. Raising a daughter isn't easy. We have daughters of our own, so we know. We must provide everything that's expected and ensure all the proper etiquette is flawlessly observed."
The family spent a while happily discussing Ben's upcoming wedding before Amanda shifted her gaze over to Chris and Claire.
"Chris, your brother's engagement is settled. You need to pick up the pace, too! Look at you, you aren't getting any younger!"
"Mom, my gaming company is at a critical launch phase right now. I'm in no rush."
Amanda wanted to shift her nagging to Claire next, but remembering the recent mess with Justin Carter, she held her tongue.
