In a matter of minutes, posts about Loyce completely flooded the internet, with the comment sections on every single thread spiraling into utter chaos.
"Can someone slap me awake? Are you telling me that the 'crazy stalker fan' we've been cursing out thousands of times is actually a billionaire heiress, a medically certified prodigy, AND the closing disciple of the legendary Mr. X?!"
"What the hell was I even typing earlier, ahhhh! I'm begging on my knees to the boss! *Bang bang bang!* I'm going to eat my keyboard as an apology!"
"So everything our Holt said was the absolute truth! Not only did we call him a liar, but we literally cyberbullied the woman who saved his life right in front of him?!"
"Wait, then what about that private clinic that said his voice was permanently ruined? Were they paid off?!"
At the exact same time, the private clinic that had taken under-the-table bribes from Bianca was completely exposed by anonymous whistleblowers. Security footage of Finn and Bianca entering the clinic together, records of their transactions with the director, and hard proof that the two of them had been secretly living together were all dumped online.
Finn, having just walked out of the corporate building and completely unaware that the internet was currently burning to the ground, put on a perfectly practiced look of devastation. He walked over to the small cluster of his die-hard supporters and apologized with red-rimmed eyes. "I'm so sorry I let you all down. Because of an incredibly biased audition, I was unfairly eliminated from being Apex's lead singer..."
He had intended to play the victim card to secure his fanbase, but a second later, a water bottle sailed through the air in a perfect arc and slammed directly into his forehead with a loud *thwack!* The sheer force of it made Finn stumble back, clutching his head, his eyes wide with shock.
Then, a fan shrieked at the top of her lungs, "We were so blind about you!"
"You're the real culprit!"
"You piece of trash! Sleeping with the Apex manager to steal the spot!"
Every single word felt like a knife to the chest, completely drowning Finn out.
Confused and panicked, he frantically scrambled away. Heart hammering in his chest, he finally looked at his phone, which was vibrating endlessly with incoming notifications. When he saw his scandals plastered across every major headline, he realized his career in the spotlight was permanently dead. Unable to process the catastrophic collapse of his life, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed unconscious onto the pavement.
Meanwhile, Loyce and Holt took a leisurely stroll down to the main lobby. A tear-streaked Yolene, her makeup completely ruined, ran out and threw herself in front of them. Shaking uncontrollably, she pleaded, "I didn't know you were Ms. Lonsdale! Everything I did was incredibly out of line. Please, I'm begging you, just be the bigger person and leave me a way out!"
Loyce looked down at her with a chilling apathy. "When you rallied the internet to cancel a normal person, did it ever cross your mind that karma would come for you one day? I'm sure this isn't the first time you've stepped on someone you thought was a nobody."
"I'll never do it again, Ms. Lonsdale, please, I'm begging you!" As Yolene spoke, she dropped heavily to her knees right in front of Loyce, waves of agonizing regret crashing over her. "I fought so hard to get to where I am today! I can't lose everything!"
Loyce didn't say another word. She simply sidestepped the woman and kept walking.
She didn't feel a shred of pity for someone like her. Had Loyce not been the heiress of the richest family in the country, the one whose life would be completely annihilated right now would be her.
