When Yolene was dragged back onto the stage to model the plagiarized dress one last time, she snatched the microphone from Raoul Dubois's hand. Facing the cameras with a deeply wronged expression, she cried, "I never imagined Élégance would do something like this. I am so sorry to Bloomberry's designer. If I had known this was a stolen piece, I never would have worn it."
She looked entirely sincere as she bowed deeply in Loyce's direction.
However, Loyce didn't accept the apology with the same swift grace she had shown Sylvie Langley. In fact, she didn't even acknowledge Yolene. She simply took her seat.
That cold, arrogant dismissal left Yolene standing awkwardly on the live broadcast.
A flare of humiliated rage burned in her chest. She was a victim in this too, kept completely in the dark! All she needed was to make a public apology to quell the backlash. Did Loyce really think that just because she was the daughter of the wealthiest family in the country, she could do whatever she wanted?
By disrespecting her so publicly, Loyce was just begging to be canceled online!
Raoul took the microphone back. His voice boomed through the hall, "The rules of the Nexus Design competition are crystal clear. We have zero tolerance for the shameful theft of another artist's ideas. Any brand caught doing so will be permanently disqualified."
He cast a cold, sharp glance at Alicia and her daughter. "I hereby announce that Élégance's qualifications are revoked. Nexus Design will never work with them again!"
Hearing this, Alicia collapsed onto the floor. Only one thought echoed in her mind: It was over.
Watching Alicia's complete mental breakdown, Renee couldn't help but ask, "Is the fallout really that severe?"
Loyce gently nudged Giselle, who was vibrating with excitement. "Go get your award, star designer."
Giselle's legs felt like jelly as she walked up the stairs. It was as if she were floating on clouds toward the center of the stage. The spotlight isolated her, and several cameras circled to capture her big moment.
In this hall, representing the highest honor in fashion, she had just effortlessly captured the award she had spent countless nights dreaming about.
Raoul handed her the trophy, joking warmly, "Hold on tight, kid. That's solid gold."
Giselle gripped it tightly. High on adrenaline and a little breathless, she looked down at Loyce in the audience. "I want to thank my dearest friend, Loyce. She gave me the courage to enter this competition. If it weren't for her encouragement and support, I never would have created the 'Four Seasons' collection. With her guidance, I know I'll create even better things for Bloomberry in the future. Thank you."
