As they headed back toward the salon, Loyce's phone buzzed with a message from their security detail.

Marcella and Zelie had finished their haircuts. While waiting, they had overheard salespeople pitching a miraculous health supplement to a group of elderly shoppers. Unable to stop themselves, the two women had marched right into the store to investigate. Now, Marcella was actively causing a massive scene.

Loyce and Forrest immediately changed course, sprinting toward the "Wellness Life Pavilion" tucked away in a quiet corner of the mall.

Even before they reached the store, they could hear Marcella's booming voice echoing down the corridor, followed by a chaotic uproar.

Pushing through the glass doors, they found the store packed with confused seniors. Right at the front of the crowd, Marcella was holding up a tub of "miracle powder." With her other hand planted firmly on her hip, she was glaring down three furious salespeople.

"The ingredients are cheap cornstarch mixed with root powder! And these vitamin pills are the lowest grade on the market!" Marcella yelled, her voice easily cutting through the noise. "This garbage costs less than three dollars to make, and you're charging a thousand for it?! And you claim it cures everything? You soulless vultures are draining the life savings of innocent people! Have you no shame?!"

Zelie was standing right behind her, completely fearless, pointing an accusing finger at the staff. "Scammers!" she echoed enthusiastically.

Their sudden outburst had halted the sales pitch completely. The elderly customers who had been lining up with their wallets out were now murmuring nervously, asking Marcella if she was telling the truth.

"I am a retired doctor!" Marcella declared, thumping her chest. "I know exactly what I'm talking about!"

A man in a crisp white lab coat, posing as the head doctor, marched forward, his face flushed with anger. He snatched a laminated document from a desk and shoved it in Marcella's face.

"Don't listen to this crazy old woman! We are fully certified by the CoreWell Pharmacy! Our products are guaranteed to be safe and effective! Look right here, it has the official CoreWell seal!"

"CoreWell Pharmacy?"

Marcella blinked. Wait, wasn't that Loyce's company? She grabbed the "certificate" and squinted at it. It was printed entirely in English. Her brow furrowed.
