Honestly, when he saw Lynn asleep on the cot earlier, his perception of her shifted a little.

She was too compliant–so compliant that she hadn’t even protested when her family arranged the marriage with a virtual stranger. And she didn’t really match the image of a pampered socialite he’d assumed she was.
