The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 425

In that instant, a dark figure flashed by, and Hawk firmly gripped Genevieve’s wrist.

His grip was so strong that Genevieve cried out in pain. “Let me go! Hawk, you dare to stop me? Do you have any idea who I am?”

“Mr. Shawn gave orders to protect Miss Sanger’s safety,” Hawk said, his expression impassive as he twisted her wrist and pushed her back toward the bed.

At the same time, the door was thrown open and several nurses and a doctor rushed in. Seeing the chaos, they hurried forward to restrain Genevieve.

Genevieve struggled, her hair plastered messily to her face, her blue-and-white striped hospital gown now wrinkled and disheveled. She was like a rabid animal.

“Get off me! All of you, get off! What gives you the right to touch me? I’m the future Mrs. Shawn!” When the nurses and doctor didn’t budge, Genevieve’s struggles intensified. “Ah—Let me go!”

But no matter how much she fought, she was pinned to the bed.

A moment later, the doctor injected her with a sedative. Genevieve’s struggles gradually weakened, but her glare remained fixed on Victoria, fierce and hateful. “Victoria, if you have the guts, kill me yourself. Otherwise, I will never let you go…”

The nurses secured her to the bed with restraints. Perhaps from the agitation, her body was still twitching slightly.

Victoria walked to the bedside, bent down, and pinched Genevieve’s chin, forcing her to look up. “Genevieve, your life is worthless now. You’re not even worth the effort for me to deal with personally.”

“Just wait for prison.”

Victoria’s voice was soft, but it held an unquestionable finality.

At her words, Genevieve let out a bloodcurdling scream. “I’m not going to prison! I’m mentally ill! I want a psychiatric evaluation! You can’t arrest me!”

Victoria frowned, the shrill cry threatening to pierce her eardrums. She straightened up, a smile touching her lips as she looked at the pathetic display.

It was a faint smile, but it cut like a knife, sending a shiver of fear through Genevieve.

“Genevieve, since you insist on playing the insanity card,” Victoria’s gaze swept over her restrained wrists, “you’d better keep up the act for the rest of your life.”

Before Genevieve could process what she meant, Victoria turned to Hawk. “Arrange for her to have the most thorough psychiatric evaluation possible. If there are still issues with the results, send her to Imperial City’s First Psychiatric Hospital.”

Hawk was momentarily stunned, then nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”

At the mention of Imperial City’s First Psychiatric Hospital, Genevieve’s pupils constricted, a rare look of terror crossing her face.
