The Abandoned Wife Dumped Him First (Victoria and Elias) novel Chapter 422

Seeing Genevieve throw herself at Elias, he met her with an icy glare, subtly sidestepping her embrace.

“Elias…”

Genevieve registered his movement, her pupils constricting. Before she could react, she was already stumbling forward.

At the door to the hospital room, Hawk had just walked in. Before he could get a clear view of the scene, someone fell into his arms—it was Genevieve. She let out a silent sigh of relief as he caught her.

But a moment later, as if startled, Hawk suddenly stepped back.

Genevieve’s feet slipped. With a sharp cry, she fell hard onto the cold floor.

The impact sent a tearing pain through the wound on her shoulder blade. Her vision went dark, and a cold sweat instantly beaded on her forehead.

Victoria turned around. Her gaze lingered on Elias for a brief moment before shifting back to Genevieve. She then began walking toward her, her steps deliberate and menacing.

Seeing this, Genevieve desperately tried to stand, but her legs felt weak and useless.

Victoria’s figure grew larger and larger in her vision, like a specter from hell coming to claim her soul. Overwhelmed by terror, Genevieve’s body began to tremble uncontrollably.

Ignoring the pain, she used her hands to scramble backward across the floor, her voice a hoarse and desperate cry.

“Stay away! Don’t come near me! Ah!”

But Victoria seemed not to hear, her pace steady and unhurried. Each footstep was a hammer blow to Genevieve’s heart.

To Genevieve, she was an executioner, holding a knife and torturing her body and soul one slice at a time. The endless torment pushed her to the brink of collapse.

Pain and fear intertwined, and Genevieve felt like she was about to faint. In a final, desperate act, she reached out and clutched the cuff of Elias’s pants, pleading through her tears.

“Elias, Elias, please, save me! Help me! Victoria’s lost her mind! She’s really going to kill me!”

Just as she finished speaking, Victoria was upon her.

Genevieve stared in horror at the switchblade clenched in Victoria’s right hand. The blade was slick with her own blood, a startling, vivid red. The thick, metallic smell filled her nostrils as the blood dripped from the blade, one drop at a time, onto the floor.

Genevieve’s breath hitched, and she continued, her voice choked with sobs, “Elias, save me! Have you forgotten how I saved you five years ago? You said it yourself, you owe me your life! Are you just going to stand there and watch Victoria kill me?”

At the mention of “five years ago,” Elias’s eyes instantly darkened. A complex expression crossed his face, but he remained silent.
