The Best Revenge It Wasn't Even Your Child novel Chapter 521

“Latonia?”

Catherine blinked, a little taken aback. “You’re a fan of Lorinda?”

Latonia barely paused, skipping any small talk. “Where’s Lorinda?”

“Please, come in. I’ll go get her.” Catherine opened the door wide and let Latonia inside. A couple of men in neat suits stood quietly behind her, waiting by the entrance.

Once Latonia was in, Catherine closed the door and went further into the apartment. The sound of voices drew Lorinda out of her room. She paused at the end of the hallway while Latonia lingered at the entry. The moment their eyes met, Latonia’s eyes shimmered with tears.

“You must be a fan, right?” Lorinda tried to act casual, but the smile she managed was a little stiff. She walked over and offered awkwardly, “Have a seat. I’ll get you something to drink.”

“You two sit—I’ll handle the tea,” Catherine offered, giving Lorinda an encouraging look. After all, this was her fan.

Lorinda grinned at Catherine. “Alright, we’ll sit. No need to be formal, we’re friends here.” She led Latonia into the living room. Latonia set down her bag and took a slow look around.

“So, you really live here?”

“Yeah.” Lorinda glanced around too. “You seem pretty well-off, so I bet your place is way nicer than mine. But this isn’t bad. It’s actually great, at least for Eldervale.”

Latonia studied Lorinda’s face, noticing how alike they looked in certain ways. Her already red eyes grew even wetter.

“How have you been all these years?” she asked softly.
