The Billionaire's True Heiress From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 141

A few guys walked past the private room and caught the sounds coming from inside. Instantly, they traded knowing, slightly mischievous grins.

They’d all been young once. Back in the day, they remembered kids huddling around screens at internet cafes, watching stuff they probably shouldn’t. Guys got it. No explanation needed.

Green Hair pulled out his phone, ready to call the boss, then paused and set it back down. If the boss found out the girl he liked had brought a guy here, it would probably break his heart. Maybe it was better to pretend nothing happened. Just let it go.

But it was hard to ignore, especially when the noises were getting louder and harder to block out. Curiosity got the best of him, and before he knew it, his ear was pressed against the door.

The sounds inside were… odd.

“Hey, Green, what are you doing?” Another guy from the internet cafe came over with drinks, only to spot Green Hair lurking by the door.

Green Hair jumped, startled. “Dude, don’t sneak up on me like that.”

“What’s up?” The guy leaned in too and froze when he heard the sounds. His eyes went wide. He let out a low, weird yelp.

“Oh my god, isn’t this the room that lady always uses? The one the boss had remodeled just for her? She’s in there watching porn?”

Green Hair snapped his head up. “How do you know she’s watching something?”

The other guy smirked. “Come on, man. You know those sounds. Everyone does.”

Green Hair frowned. “Wait, are you saying she’s not just watching something, but actually… you know? No way. Claire’s not like that.”

Barnard grinned. “You’re right. She’s definitely just watching a movie. No way that’s her making those noises.” It was hard to tell if Green Hair was trying to convince Barnard or himself.

Barnard’s eyes lit up, suddenly understanding. “Wait, you thought she was actually hooking up with someone in there?”

Meanwhile, Claire knew they were gone. She’d been watching the cafe’s security cameras, the window minimized on her screen. As soon as she saw them leave, she closed the feed.

Claire looked completely calm, like she’d just been listening to music. Meanwhile, Dane sat next to her, blushing furiously from his neck up to his ears, a vein standing out on his neck. He’d never met a girl as unpredictable as Claire.

“So, did it work or not?” Claire stared right at Dane, looking perfectly at ease.

Dane frowned. “Don’t ever do that again. When a girl’s alone with a guy and there’s no real danger, that guy instantly becomes the biggest threat.”

Claire leaned in, studying the sweat on his forehead. She nodded like she understood, but there was a hint of mischief in her eyes. “So right now, you’re the biggest threat to me?”

She was clearly teasing him, and Dane could tell. This girl was definitely messing with him.
