The Billionaire's True Heiress: From Fake Jewel to Real Crown novel Chapter 65

“Edison, I’m heading to bed.”

Claire could tell Edison understood what she meant, so she left it at that.

Edison just waved, already thinking about what he needed to do next. He had to check every single one of their malls across the country.

Aaron had no clue that his mess at VIA Metropolis had shaken things up so much. Every mall manager was now being evaluated, and anyone who didn’t measure up was immediately replaced. Only the best were staying.

The next morning, Claire woke up early for school. She thought she was the first one up, but Pandora had already beaten her to it.

Edison was in the kitchen with his sleeves rolled up, making breakfast. Pandora was trying to help, but honestly, she had never cooked a real meal in her life. Anything she made usually tasted pretty bland, and Edison knew it. He didn’t dare let her actually make anything.

He had already blended fresh soy milk and poured a glass for each of them. He’d boiled eggs for everyone and made some wraps filled with shredded potatoes and pickles. They actually tasted amazing.

Claire was seriously impressed with Edison’s skills. If Jenny really managed to win him over, she’d basically hit the jackpot when it came to food.

“Claire, didn’t you leave all your books in the countryside? How are you going to manage in class?” Pandora suddenly remembered Claire only came back with a backpack full of books after Lance sent her away.

“It’s okay, I’ll just borrow from a classmate for now.”

Edison overheard and suggested, “How about I ask the driver to go back and pick up your books?”

Claire was about to say it wasn’t necessary, but Pandora thought it was a great idea.

“Thank you, Edison,” Claire said. She noticed Pandora was way more comfortable asking for help than she was.

Silverpeak International College started at eight sharp. Not only had Claire forgotten her books, she also didn’t have her uniform. She left the house in her regular clothes.

That’s when she remembered she hadn’t packed her uniform at all. The housekeeper had washed it and left it out to dry, and she’d just forgotten all about it.

Edison dropped her off at school at 7:55. Traffic had been a nightmare.
