The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 802

David had said yes. He was really going to marry Jessa.

Moss and Joanna hurried over. “David!”

Lilly’s face changed. “David!”

Jessa’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. She caught Louise’s eye and they both grinned. Everything had gone exactly as they planned. Even though things with the Wade family had completely fallen apart, Jessa was about to become David’s wife. In her mind, marrying well beat working hard any day. With Heart Connect keeping David in check, she felt certain she could hold onto the title of Mrs. Harmon forever.

She slipped her arm through David’s and gave him a sweet smile. “David, I knew you’d come back to me. Let’s get married soon, okay? Being your wife is all I’ve ever wanted.”

David glanced at her but didn’t say a word.

Louise watched Moss, Joanna, and Ella, taking in their crushed expressions. She felt an undeniable rush of satisfaction. This, making them miserable, was exactly what she wanted.

“Congratulations, Mr. Harmon, Jessa,” Louise said brightly.

Just then, Mrs. Harmon came over with Lola. “David, are you really going to marry Jessa?”

Lola ran straight to Ella. “Mommy!”

Ella picked her up and kissed her cheek. “Hey, sweetheart.”

Jessa turned to Mrs. Harmon. “Pretty soon, I’ll be calling you Mom.”

Mrs. Harmon frowned at David. “David, this is a big decision. Are you sure?”

David pressed his lips together. “I’ve made up my mind.”

His tone made it clear there was no room for discussion.

She made sure Ella heard every word.

Congratulations started to ripple through the crowd. “Congratulations, Mr. Harmon and Ms. Wade. You’ve had an engagement since childhood, and now it’s finally happening.”

“It’s fate, honestly. They are meant for each other.”

“We’ll definitely come to your wedding and celebrate with you.”

“What a lucky day. Ms. Irvine found a new family, and now Mr. Harmon is getting married. Congratulations!”

Jessa looked at David, her face overflowing with happiness, then shot a smug look at Ella.

David’s handsome face stayed unreadable. “I have something to do,” he said quietly, and walked away.
