The Genius Ex-Wife’s Revenge Portfolio novel Chapter 822

Is Jason really coming?

Lucas lifted an eyebrow, genuinely intrigued. Today, he’d finally get to see who this Jason actually was.

Lilly was still in the lobby of the private club, holding her phone up to her ear as she talked to Alice.

Alice sighed, “Lynch Group has been caught up in so much bad press lately. William won’t meet with us at all. He’s here at the club just to unwind, so there’s no way he’ll agree to see us today.”

“Are you sure there’s absolutely no way to see him?” Lilly pressed.

“I’ve thought about it. I can’t come up with anything.”

“Alright, Alice. Let me try to figure something out.”

As soon as she hung up, Lilly’s brows knit together. She had to find a way to see William today, no matter what.

Just then, the low hum of an expensive car drew everyone’s attention as it rolled up to the club’s entrance.

The security guards immediately moved to welcome whoever had just arrived.

Who could that be?

At the front desk, the two receptionists started whispering.

“Who just showed up? That’s some serious VIP energy.”

“You don’t know? That’s Mr. Jason Farill from JY Tech.”

“No way. You mean the mysterious business prodigy, Mr. Farill?”

“That’s right. I checked the guest list earlier. William is playing golf with Mr. Farill and Mr. Matthis today. William and Mr. Matthis are already here. Mr. Farill was the only one missing.”

Jason Farill?

Lilly didn’t really mess with the business world, but even she’d heard the other socialites mention this new rising star. According to them, Mr. Farill was every woman’s dream.

She never imagined she’d actually run into the legendary Mr. Farill here.

A security guard in black stepped up and opened the car door. Out stepped a tall, striking man with an air of quiet elegance.

Wow!

As Lilly drifted off into her thoughts, Jason was already striding across the lobby. The club’s manager and William’s assistant rushed over to greet him.

“Mr. Farill, William has been waiting for you. Please, come with me.”

Jason just nodded. “Alright.”

He walked off in long, confident strides.

Lilly snapped back to herself. She didn’t know why, but every time she looked at Jason, she couldn’t help thinking of Jace.

There was something about him, some shadow or echo of Jace.

Without thinking, Lilly hurried forward. “Mr. Farill, hi.”

Jason stopped and looked back at her.

Lilly’s eyes sparkled. Seeing him here felt like a sudden stroke of luck, especially since she was out of options for getting in to see William.

“Hi, Mr. Farill. Do you remember me? We’ve met twice before. Last time, you were driving a taxi and helped me get away from someone who was following me.”
