“Just wait a little longer,” the man’s deep voice came out rough and low.
Right then, Petty’s mind was a blur. She didn’t hear what he said. She couldn’t tell where she was, and the man in front of her might as well have been a stranger.
All she cared about was chasing the relief she craved. There was this heat tearing through her belly, feeding a fire that demanded something, anything to put it out.
She just wanted to feel better.
The need inside her felt like it was about to rip her apart. Her fingers tugged at his cold jacket, only making the ache burn hotter.
Leaning over the seat, her body pressed against the backrest, Petty’s shaky fingers trailed inside the collar of his shirt, searching for something steady to hold on to.
Suddenly, his hand, big and strong, wrapped around hers through their clothes, stopping her in her tracks.
He was trembling, struggling to hold himself together, fighting the urge building up inside him, his grip so tight it looked painful.
With her hand trapped, all of that raw heat inside her had nowhere to go. She acted on impulse, leaning forward and biting down gently on his earlobe.
She was breathless, her words tumbling out between shaky pants. “I can pay you… I have so much money…”
That little touch made a shiver run through him. The veins in his neck stood out, his jaw clenched tight, then he let out a ragged breath and stomped the gas all the way down.
The car surged forward, roaring into the mouth of an old tunnel before screeching to a stop. He pushed open the door and then yanked open the back seat, scooping Petty up and carrying her into the back of a black Bentley waiting nearby.
As soon as she was inside, someone drove the Mercedes away.
The door slammed behind them. The man yanked off his mask and cap.
His face was sharp and cold, eyes rimmed red with heat and restraint.
Franco’s hands burned as he pulled Petty close, pressing his mouth firmly against hers. Her lips parted in a groan and he kissed her even harder, his tongue seeking hers, determined and hungry.
“Mmph...”
