The Last Time I Cried Your Name novel Chapter 347

There was that same attitude in her voice.

Eaton was just about to lose his temper when Laura shot him a look, light and sharp all at once. “Careful, Eaton. I've got enough on you that you really don’t want to push me right now.”

She snorted quietly, then turned to the housekeeper. “I'm cold. Take me inside.”

Eaton stood there in the courtyard, glaring after Laura as she moved away. His gaze darkened with every step she took. After Travis died, he should have finished Laura off right then and there.

The helicopter landed, and Petty finally saw the island up close. It was so stunning, it barely felt real, like something out of a dream.

She was caught off guard by how beautiful it was, but there was also this weird spark of recognition in her chest. She told herself it was probably just because of that other abandoned island she’d visited once.

Thinking of that place reminded her of the photo she’d found in the drawer—Franco standing beside another woman.

She threw off the blanket and sat up. “Seriously? This is the big secret place you wanted to show me?”

“You really do have a thing for islands, don’t you?” Franco stood up, watching her profile as she turned to look out the window. His eyes were darker than usual.
