The Last Time I Cried Your Name novel Chapter 396

Other than those quick visits to his film sets, this was the first time Petty actually tagged along with Hans for work. Sitting there, watching Hans get his hair and makeup done at the vanity, she felt a little like she’d snuck backstage at some glamorous show. Everything about it seemed new and kind of exciting.

Hans looked up and caught her staring at him through the mirror. He swallowed, trying to play it cool.

“What? Why are you staring at me like that?”

Everyone in the room was part of Hans’s regular crew, so Petty knew them all. When Hans called her out, a ripple of laughter went around.

Petty never bothered to hide what she was thinking when it came to Hans. She dropped right into the chair next to him, grinning, “With this much eye candy right in front of me, how could I not stare?”

Elbows on the table, chin in hand, she leaned in for a better look at his annoyingly perfect face. “Honestly, your bone structure is so good that makeup doesn’t even add anything. If anything, it covers up your best features.”

The makeup artist nodded along. “She’s right. Hans, your bone structure is basically perfect. No one else in the business even comes close.”

“But there is someone outside the industry!” one of the younger girls piped up, sounding convinced. “Franco. That guy’s bone structure is just as flawless as Hans’s. I saw pictures online once. Seriously… his face would work in any era.”

The manager turned around, eyebrows raised. “You mean the chairman of The White Group?”

The girl nodded hard, so eager she looked like she might bounce out of her chair.

The manager just shook his head, sighing like he’d lost at the lottery. “What a waste. A man like that, so powerful, would never set foot in showbiz. But if he did, with that face and that height? The whole industry would be done for. If I managed to sign him, I’d have two absolute stars on my hands. Nobody could beat us.”

Hans glanced at Petty out of the corner of his eye, checking her reaction, but she looked completely unfazed, as if the whole conversation didn’t interest her at all.

He playfully nudged his manager’s chair with his foot. “What, I’m not enough for you?”
