As long as her son was safe, she and Donald...
Tansy looked at Donald, and he held her gaze. No words were needed.
They both knew neither feared death.
Right now, the only thing that mattered was making sure Lottie got out alive.
Seeing the boy safely whisked away, Charlotte purposefully dragged her feet while hacking the final three countries.
An hour had passed since the standoff began.
Anthony had to have his forces in position by now.
"Nine, just two countries left." Salazar couldn't contain his impatience. Victory was so close he could taste it. His voice trembled with excitement. "Finish them, and I'll release Donald and Tansy immediately."
"Fine."
Calculating the time, Charlotte stalled for another ten minutes before finally bypassing all the security protocols.
"It worked."
Salazar practically vibrated with excitement as he spoke into his phone. "We've breached their territories. They have no idea."
If the shipments proceeded without a hitch for ten more minutes, the operation would be a complete success.
"I've done what you asked. Are you going to let us go now?"
Charlotte stood up, suppressing her burning rage, and glared coldly at Salazar. "Donald and Tansy are leaving with me."
"Nine, any interest in a partnership?" Salazar leaned back in his chair, looking at Charlotte with undisguised admiration. "You're now a wanted fugitive in ten countries. If you return to Eldoria, you'll probably end up behind bars."
"Why face that when we could work together long-term?"
No one spoke for a beat.
Charlotte's lips curled into a chilling smile. Her expression was utterly ruthless as she drawled, "A partnership sounds great, but at your age, who knows how much time you have left?"
"You'd better start deciding now whether you prefer being buried in the ground or dumped in the sea when the inevitable accident happens..."
The room fell dead silent.
Salazar's face turned livid at her words.
"The job is done. You'd better be smart and let us leave. Otherwise..." Charlotte picked up a glass of water, took a slow sip, and smirked. "You know I'm not someone you want to cross."
