The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2170

Anthony stroked his son's face, realizing the boy was truly exhausted, so he asked Helen to carry him upstairs to rest.

Right before leaving, Fred leaned in close to Charlotte's face and planted a loud, wet kiss on her cheek.

"Go on now."

Charlotte patted his little head, a tender smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

Once Fred was gone, Charlotte's gaze shifted to Ophie's face.

Considering she had woken up even earlier than her brother, had been chattering endlessly, and had run circles around the room, she had to be completely worn out too.

"Does our little Ophie want to see her presents?"

"Yes!"

Ophie enthusiastically threw her hands in the air, her voice booming. She couldn't wait to wriggle out of her mother's embrace. "Ophie want see presen's!"

"Aren't you sleepy?"

Watching her animated daughter flail about, Charlotte frowned slightly, asking in a low tone.

"Not sweepy."

Ophie shook her head vigorously, her two little pigtails flopping haphazardly as she announced in her sweet, childish voice, "Mommy, Ophie want see presen's!"

"Want see now!"

Charlotte pinched the bridge of her nose, having no choice but to set her highly energetic daughter down, letting her crawl straight into the pile of gifts.

The whole family sat comfortably on the sofas, munching on pastries while they enjoyed the show of Ophie ripping open her presents.

"Dis one from Great-gwandpa."

"Dis one from Great-gwandma."

"Dis one is..."

The little girl muttered endlessly to herself as she tore into the wrapping paper.

Occasionally, when she encountered a stubborn box, she'd scoop it up and dramatically huff and puff her way over to her father, turning on the charm. "Daddy, help pwease."

Anthony simply relented, popping open every single box and leaving them arranged neatly beside his daughter for easy access.

"Fank you, Daddy."

"It's 'thank you,' Daddy."

Anthony smoothed down her messy hair, gently correcting her pronunciation.

"Fank, fank you Daddy."

Ophie stared at her father, earnestly mimicking him.
