The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 717

Milford lowered his newspaper, his gaze turning to Tamara with glacial hostility. "Are you finished?"

Tamara flinched under his icy stare and instinctively nodded.

Milford's lips curved into a sharp, mocking smirk. "Tamara, have you forgotten exactly how this baby came to be?"

The color drained entirely from Tamara's face. "Milford..."

"Do I need to remind you?" Milford's voice was as cold as absolute zero. "I never wanted this child. You used every dirty trick in the book to get pregnant, and then absolutely refused to terminate it."

Milford remembered every single stunt Tamara had pulled with crystal clarity. Did she seriously think that, with enough time, he would just let go of everything she had done?

In her dreams!

Milford stood up, stalking toward Tamara. With every step he took, Tamara grew a shade paler.

"And now you're sitting here trying to lecture us about 'a pregnant woman needing emotional validation'?" Milford stopped right in front of her, towering over her with pure contempt. "Given everything you've done, the fact that the Sherwood family is providing you with financial support is already far more mercy than you deserve."

He leaned in, dropping his voice to a dangerous, soul-crushing whisper. "As for anything else, don't even dream about it."

Tamara shook violently, the tears finally breaking through. "How can you say that... This is your baby too..."

"Yes, it's my child," Milford straightened up, his eyes entirely devoid of emotion. "But that doesn't mean I have to put up with your threats."

He turned and headed for the door, his steps unwavering. "You want to go back to the Sloans? Fine."

Milford paused briefly at the doorway and threw a frigid glare over his shoulder at Tamara.
