The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 635

She looked at Nathan, her expression grave.

“Nathan, you don’t need me to remind you what you should or shouldn’t do.”

The woman’s brows furrowed as she fixed her gaze on him.

Nathan’s voice was cool, his meaning clear.

“I know exactly what you think I’m about to do. But I have to remind you—some things simply don’t belong to us. Don’t go too far. He hasn’t done anything wrong. If anyone’s to blame, it’s me. I owe you more than anyone ever could.”

Nathan lifted his eyes, meeting his mother’s stare. Half her face was marred by ugly scars, a sight he knew all too well.

He let his gaze drop, voice low.

“You don’t owe me anything. You raised me, gave me everything, made sure I became the man I am. You’ve already done your duty as a mother.”

She looked at Nathan, her heart twisting painfully as she glanced at the wound on his arm.

“Does it hurt?”

Nathan shook his head.

“You’ve always been careful—never the type to get yourself hurt, never one to land in messes like this. You went to save her. Was that really your choice?”

Nathan’s answer was blunt.

“I’m going to marry her.”

His mother’s face changed instantly, disbelief and outrage flashing across her features.

“Absolutely not! That’s your brother’s ex-wife. Even if they’re divorced now, they were married. If you bring her into this family, people will talk. Have you thought about what that means?”

“No matter how bad things got between them, it’s not your place to step in. If you wanted revenge, and you’d taken her from him when they were still in love, maybe I could understand. But now? They can barely stand each other, the marriage is over, Alexander won’t even acknowledge his own daughter. Why do you want to marry her?”

Nathan’s eyes darkened.
