Twin Cupids at Work Daddy Come Home novel Chapter 335

"I helped raise Noah. It's only natural I'd be here."

Madeline gave a gentle smile. "When are you planning to do the paternity test?"

Julian's brows drew together. Between worrying about Noah and tracking down the real culprit, the test had completely slipped his mind.

"We can do it right away."

"Alright," Madeline nodded. "The sooner the better. And let's keep this quiet, okay?"

Julian understood. The fewer people who knew, the better. "I know."

For the first time, they talked about it calmly, like two people just figuring things out instead of arguing. Maybe it was the honesty in Madeline's eyes that got to him, but Julian felt a strange flicker of hope. He couldn't help but wonder, could the first two paternity tests have been wrong? Could the kids really be his?

If that was true, what actually happened that night? He remembered Helene lying beside him, while Madeline had walked out of a different room. The memories tangled in his mind, refusing to settle. The man who had been with Madeline that night seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

"What are you thinking about?" Madeline asked, noticing the look on his face.

"It's nothing." Julian's tone was low and heavy. He turned away and headed into Noah's hospital room.

...

Julian arranged for someone to collect blood samples from himself and Oliver, along with all the paperwork needed for the paternity test. He had Miles deliver everything to the lab in person and made sure there was someone watching the whole process, just in case.
