"Ms. Olson, you’re always so considerate. Maybe next time then."
Nicholas didn’t insist. It wasn’t late, but April always went to bed early. "Actually, I was hoping you could become April’s tutor. That way, you two could see each other all the time."
Ever since Nicholas brought April home, he’d been incredibly protective, as if she was made of glass. He worried constantly, never quite comfortable with the idea of sending her back to kindergarten. But April got bored being home alone. The tutors he found were either way too old or just too stiff, none of them had Sheila’s warmth.
Plus, Sheila had saved April’s life. He was sure the two would get along perfectly.
Sheila didn’t say anything. She twisted her fingers together, trying to hide how nervous she felt. No matter what, she had to find a way to turn down the job.

In the middle of the night, the internet exploded with a new scandal.
"Famous Male Artist Cheats with Rising International Supermodel—She’s a Serial Homewrecker and Her Private Life Is a Mess!"
Leaked photos of Vincent, the hottest celebrity right now, and a well-known supermodel started circulating online. The pictures were clearly taken in a hotel room, showing them in all sorts of compromising positions. Most of the shots focused on the woman, but the man’s tattoos and silhouette gave him away instantly.
Within moments, comments started pouring in.
"My world is shattered! I just started stanning him, he seemed so sweet, I can't believe this is true!"
Rudy’s name flashed on her phone, but she ignored it. A few seconds later, the doorbell started ringing over and over. Annoyed, she got up and opened the door.
Rudy burst in, grabbed her by the neck, and shoved her against the wall, kissing her so roughly it drew blood. Nancy struggled for a while, but Rudy was out of control tonight. He only let her go once he saw the blood at the corner of her mouth.
"You told me... you said you’d never even had an ex. What the hell have you really been up to behind my back?" His voice was low and shaking with anger.
Nancy had told him she was leaking something to the press that would ruin Nelly, but she insisted on meeting the reporter alone. Rudy believed her. He never imagined that Nancy’s big scoop wasn’t about Nelly at all. It was about herself.
He had spoiled Nancy for years, but never got to slept with her. He thought she was innocent and untouched, but now he realized someone else had already been there long before him.
