In Madame Pandora’s eyes, Darryl must have some exceptional qualities for Princess Angeline to hold him in such high regard. Immediately, Darryl was the focus of attention again. Unnecessary deaths would be prevented if Darryl could use his knowledge of beast language to track down the dragon.
“Darren, how about it?” said the Queen with a smile on her face.
If Darryl tracked down the dragon, then the capital city would be able to strategize how to prevent the dragon from terrorizing the capital city’s citizens.
“Well…” Darryl scratched his head, not knowing how to react.
How could he expose his own dragon? However, how could he reject the Queen? After thinking about it, Darryl decided he would just secretly order the dragon to stay away from the Golden Lion Principality capital city for the time being.
“Your Majesty, I don’t think there’s a need for us to waste our time to look for the dragon,” he said.
“Why?” asked the Queen with surprise. Everyone present was similarly surprised.
Darryl smiled and answered calmly, “During the conversation I had with the dragon yesterday, I discovered he had no plans to make a lair in the mountains outside of the capital city. It immediately left after letting Princess Angeline and I go. It’s somewhere far from the Golden Lion Principality by now.”
The Queen remained quiet while the others breathed out a sigh of relief. They did not have to worry about the dragon anymore.
However, Marshall was not having any of it. “Interesting! I really believed you for a second there, but from the way I see it, you’re actually scared to track down the dragon, aren’t you? That’s why you came up with this excuse. A dragon is known to be strong and it might still be lurking around here. Can we hold you responsible if it attacks the capital city?”
