Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3825

Chester sighed and told her what he found in Dax's body. Then he sighed again and said, "What kind of cultivation method is Skylar practicing? It's bizarre how it can completely seal off Dax's meridians and elixir field."

He paused to think and then continued to say, "I can only think of one way to save him, and that is we need to work together to force that power out of his body."

Yvette, Debra, and the others nodded their heads vigorously. None of them had any idea that the power inside Dax's body was the fiend soul power unique to Skylar. He spent the next ten minutes driving out the energy from Dax's body. However, the power was too domineering and could not be driven out at all.

Seeing that made Debra feel even more guilty. She should have tried harder to stop Dax and Skylar from fighting. However, she could not undo the past. 'Would Darryl blame me if anything happens to Dax? Even if he doesn't, I will surely carry that guilt to my grave.' Her heart sank to the bottom of the abyss at that thought.

"What should we do?" Chester started to panic and was pacing around in circles while Yvette and the others became more and more worried.

Dax was lying motionless on the bed with his eyes closed. His breathing was extremely weak as if it could stop at any moment. Chester and the others had infused him with their own internal energy as a stopgap measure when they realized they could not drive the field soul power out. However, that only alleviated the symptoms and not the root of the problem.

Chester swept his eyes across everyone, and in a pained voice, said, "Take a rest, everybody. You must be tired from searching for Darryl's whereabouts. I'll stay here and keep a close eye on Dax."

Then, he ordered the disciples outside the room. "Mobilize all the disciples to look for the best doctor money can buy and be quick about it!"

Yvette and the others nodded and went out of the room. Chester was right—they were dog-tired from all the running around. Debra walked out of the door with them in a dazed manner. How could she rest when she was the very reason that Dax ended up like that?

Suddenly, her eyes lit up. 'Only Skylar can save Dax now! I need to find him!'

"You all should rest. I need to go out for a moment," Debra said to the others. Then, she quickly left the Carter family's manor.

It was after midnight then, and the usually bustling city was deathly quiet. Debra was smart; she knew that Skylar was someone with a special status and was accompanied by Kendall. With that clue, she quickly found the King Court Hotel where they were staying.

Once she arrived at the hotel lobby, she quickly dialed Skylar's room from the reception counter. The hotel paid great attention to customers' privacy, and it was nearly impossible for outsiders to call the guests so casually. However, being a member of the Carter family gave Debra special privileges, and the hotel receptionist dared not say otherwise.

Soon, the room phone connected, and Skylar's deep voice came from the other end of the phone. "Yes?"
