'What kind of cultivation method is Skylar practicing? How can it be so domineering?' Darryl thought. Without hesitation, he propped Dax up, sat behind him, and started to use his own internal energy to force the power out of Dax's body.
He was confident that he would be successful as he had the fairy soul and the Power of Bird Ancestor in him. Chester, Yvette, and the others waited with bated breath. However, Dax's body put up a resistance as soon as Darryl infused the fairy soul power into it, and for a time, the two opposing forces were brought to a standstill.
Darryl frowned and lost all of his previous confidence. "The power in Dax's body is stronger than I expected."
"Argh!" the unconscious Dax shouted, trembling non-stop. His face was flushed red, and his face was scrunched up in pain.
'Sh*t!' Darryl became irritated at himself. 'I've forgotten that no matter how strong Dax is, he's still a human. Skylar's power has already pushed him to the limit of his endurance, so he won't be able to endure any more power from my fairy soul.'
He quickly stopped what he was doing.
"How is it?" Chester asked anxiously.
Darryl shook his head and said regretfully, "It's very hard to drive off the power in Dax's body."
He started searching through the pages of Infinite Elixir Manual mentally for a solution but came up empty-handed.
'Sh*t!' He was panicked and in shock at the same time. 'Skylar's cultivation method is definitely strange. I've never seen or heard anything like this. But isn't he only 30 years old? How did he achieve this?'
Darryl still had no idea that Skylar's power came from the fiend soul. There was almost no record of fiends in the entire Nine Mainland, let alone the fiend soul power.
Everyone's expression became complicated when the remaining hope in their hearts was dashed. It would not be a stretch to say Dax was as good as dead if there was nothing Darryl could do to save him.
Darryl composed himself. He had no choice but to seek help from Rogart. Surely he would be able to save Dax on account that he came from the Godly Region. Without hesitation, he instructed them to keep an eye on Dax and quickly went on his way to the Heavenly Alliance by himself. He was so worried about Dax's life that he did not even realize that Debra was missing.
Meanwhile, Debra was still at the private restaurant at the King Court Hotel. Her silhouette cut an impressive figure which belied the panic she was feeling inside. It had been half an hour, and there were still no signs of Skylar. Did he change his mind?
"Debra!" Skylar shouted excitedly. He was holding a jade vial in his hand. He quickly made his way to the table and passed her the jade vial. "Debra, this vial contains my blood. Dax will be fine after he takes it."
He looked sincere, but his eyes were glinting sinisterly. It was true that the jade vial contained his blood, but he had also added a little something else, and that little something else just happened to be a Soul-devouring Bloodworm.
