Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3881

Yvette noticed Lord Kenny had stretched out his arm, but she did not show she was afraid of dying. Instead, she cried out, "Darryl, why aren't you leaving? What are you doing?"

Tears rolled down her cheeks, blurring her vision. She was so deeply in love with Darryl that she would rather die alone than for him to die with her.

Darryl was heartbroken when he heard her. 'Yvette, you silly girl! What's the point of living if you're no longer with me?'

Seeing Yvette was close to dying in Lord Kenny's hands, Darryl saw the stone bridge and suddenly had an idea. "Lord Kenny, let her go now if you want the treasure in the Hall of Fame."

Lord Kenny Bred was shocked and stopped. He then asked coldly, "What do you mean?"

Darryl pointed at the stone bridge and said, "That stone bridge is a Stonehenge Formation. Those who barge in without knowing the way to resolve the formation will lose themselves in there and then fall into the abyss. Though there are many great warriors from each sect, only I can resolve this formation."

He took a deep breath and said, "If you let go of Yvette, I'll lead you across the stone bridge and then to the Hall of Fame. If you don't, you can keep on dreaming about getting your hands on that treasure!"

'Stonehenge Formation?' Lord Kenny frowned and quietly observed the stone bridge. He realized the bridge was carved out of an uneven stone. Not only that, there were odd fulus between each step. He then recalled Darryl motioning to the bridge and he started to wonder. 'Perhaps, what Darryl said was true? There's really a formation on the stone bridge.'

A few seconds later, Lord Kenny Bred snapped out of it and glared at Darryl. "Alright. I'll let the two of you live longer."

Then he looked down at Yvette and scoffed. "Today's your lucky day. Go."

He wished he could take Yvette's life as she was not only the love of Darryl's life, but was also once a princess. More importantly, he killed her father to get the throne. Therefore, to avoid any future problems, Yvette had to die.

However, it was more important to get his hands on ancestor Janson's treasure and he decided to show mercy to Yvette. Once he has the treasures and has greatly increased his power, it would be easier to murder Yvette.

Yvette ignored Lord Kenny's sarcastic remarks and scurried over to Darryl. Sobbing, she stood before Darryl and put her arms tightly around him. "Darryl, I don't want you to leave. I want to be with you…"

Darryl forced a smile and comforted her. "Yvette, calm down. We need to be together to be safe. I have the fairy soul and Lord Kenny can never kill me while you are my weakness. I'll only stop worrying when you're safe. Okay?"

"I'll tell you how to cross the stone bridge. You must remember that…" he added softly. His voice was so soft that only Yvette could hear him.

The agreement between Darryl and Lord Kenny was only a temporary measure. He had planned to draw Lord Kenny's attention at the Hall of Fame and for Yvette to secretly take the treasure. That was why he had to tell her the way to cross the bridge. Based on Yvette's intelligence, he was confident that even if he were to cross the stone bridge with Lord Kenny before her, she would still be able to follow behind them quietly.

Yvette was smart and she understood Darryl's plan. She memorized the way to cross the stone bridge and pretended that she was sad to leave Darryl, holding him tight in her arms as tears rolled down her face
