"The few of you are to stay and continue to try reaching the Godly Region."
A few seconds later, Master Magaera drew a few deep breaths and called out orders to the soldiers.
"Yes, Honorable Master!"
The few soldiers agreed in unison. They huddled around, summoning their fairy souls in an attempt to reach the Godly Region.
Meanwhile, Master Magaera brought Skylar to a clearing nearby. With a stormy expression, he asked, "Where is Archfiend Antigonus, Skylar Blanc?"
It was important to reach the Godly Region and get Archfiend Antigonus' whereabouts.
Sensing Master Magaera's hostility, Skylar inhaled deeply. He smiled. "Didn't you hear me before, Master Magaera? The Honorable Archfiend Antigonus could be anywhere; I have no idea where he has gone."
Skylar eyed the wasteland in front of him. "He might just be close by. I'd watch out if I were you—"
Thump!
Master Magaera's eyes flashed as he landed a punch at Skylar's chest before he could even finish his sentence.
Skylar hummed dully, blood spraying from his mouth.
"Don't test my patience, Skylar Blanc," Master Magaera spat coldly, looming over Skylar.
Skylar remained silent, gritting his teeth through the pain as he pondered upon an escape plan.
The problem was that he had barely recovered from Master Magaera's previous attacks. Then, he had gotten another punch from him, one that made his soul feel like it would shatter. In a situation like that, all he could do was hope for Archfiend Antigonus to appear, or there would be no way out.
Skylar made up his mind. He would not crack, no matter what Master Magaera did.
At his silence, Magaera smirked coldly. "Staying silent, I see? Do you think you can get away just by playing mute? How about I destroy your entire soul while you're at it?"
Master Magaera raised his right hand. A golden haze glowed around it, forming a golden dagger with his fairy soul.
Skylar's heart thudded. However, he still smiled and said, "I'm afraid you won't be able to do that, Master Magaera. The Honorable Archfiend Antigonus has placed a deflecting spell on my fairy soul."
