The brothers reacted exceptionally quickly, so the two blows did not land on them.
The blows landed on the cabin door instead.
Rumble!
Instantly, the wooden door shattered with a loud crash, exposing what was inside.
Crap!
Yarl panicked instantly. Jarian was in there watching over the Fiend Martyr. He could not let anyone see that.
Yarl moved to try to cover the view. Yet it was too late.
Huh?
The four brothers came to a halt at the sight of the open cabin.
Morticia stood motionless amid the shattered wood, her face flushed with embarrassment and wrath. It was apparent that her acupoint had been sealed.
Next to her, Jarian looked positively terrified.
He had been directed to keep an eye on Morticia in the cabin, but he had no idea the cabin door would be ripped apart.
Just then, the elders regained their composure. Their gazes rested on Morticia. They looked at the situation with a frown.
They noticed the setup of a formation around Morticia—an attempt to remove the fiend soul from her. It was obvious who had been brave enough to do that.
"Yarl!"
The great elder, Francis Blanc, walked forward, his stare fierce and blazing on Yarl. "What is going on? What happened to Honorable Fiend Martyr Morticia?"
Francis was Yarl's father, and he had been elated when Yarl was made their leader the previous day. Francis was an honest, straightforward man, and he had no tolerance for nonsense. He was suspicious when he saw that sight.
At the same time, the other elders' gazes were drawn to Yarl.
Yarl immediately broke out in a cold sweat when asked that question. He bowed his head and avoided looking Francis in the eyes. "I... I have no idea what happened either, Father!" His mind raced as he spoke.
Morticia heaved a sigh of relief.
She was pretty lucky. Otherwise, Yarl would have killed her, and no one would have known about that.
