Haha!
Having found out the truth, the White Tiger King could not help but burst out into laughter as respect flooded his chest. "You're quite something, Honorable Master Darby. Putting the great Empress Heidi's favorite servant through such turmoil.
"The thing is… You made up this whole deal about the Ghost Spirit Herb. What are you going to say when you return without it?"
The White Tiger King's tone was laced with annoyance as he spoke.
"Also, what do you think about letting me do the work for you in taking care of that pesky Cloud Spirit? How dare a mere servant abuse her power like this? She doesn't know what she's dealing with."
Darryl smiled lightly. "That won't be a problem. If you could just give me some of your demon tribe herbal powder, I can take it back and claim it's the Ghost Spirit Herb. They'll never know. As for Cloud Spirit, don't worry about her. I've got plenty of ideas in mind on dealing with her."
As he spoke, a thought seemed to come to Darryl. He could not help but ask, "Oh, didn't you just move here a few months ago? Why'd you mark the Black Swamp as forbidden territory so soon?"
Whew!
At the inquiry, the White Tiger King's expression grew solemn. He drained his glass, speaking with an unreadable tone.
"There's something you don't know, Honorable Master Darby. There's a seemingly bottomless black hole in the Black Swamp full of powerful energy waves. They give off a golden glow from time to time. A couple of our men fell in when we first moved here, and we never saw them again. We had no choice but to mark the entire Black Swamp off as forbidden territory to avoid further casualties."
A bottomless black hole?
Darryl stopped short instantly at the words, his interest piqued as he replied slowly, "That sure sounds interesting. I'll have to see it for myself."
The White Tiger King's expression shifted instantly.
"Please don't take the risk, Honorable Master Darby. I've checked out the black hole myself, and well… Those energy waves are really terrifying."
Darryl smiled as a fearless expression appeared on his face. "That's fine. I know what I'm doing."
He was lucky enough to stumble upon the Red Lotus Fayette, which only appeared once in a few thousand years. A mere black hole barely thwarted him at all.
"Alright!"
Seeing as no one convinced him otherwise, the White Tiger King smiled helplessly.
