Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1104

In the evening, they arrived at the flood-stricken village.

From a distance, they could see the flood surrounding the village.

At present, it was hard to tell the casualties, but many people had climbed to the roofs to avoid being drowned. It seemed that the situation was not that bad.

After the vehicles were parked, everyone got out. No one wasted any time and was busy with what they should do.

They finished setting up the medical rescue site first, and two soldiers were left here to help. After that, Adam took the rest of the people to rescue.

It was unlike the situation when they were in the worst-hit area. Now, only a small number of people returned. The medical team had only seven people, including Vincent, Anthea, and Leonardo. And there were fifteen people in the rescue team. Therefore, the tasks were pretty heavy for them.

As the rescue team successfully rescued the trapped residents one by one, the medical workers in the medical site became increasingly busy.

Few of the residents were in their prime, and the majority were elders with their left-behind grandchildren. Some of them even had some trouble with walking, making the rescue even more difficult.

Outside the tent, Anthea could often see running figures in military uniforms.

When it was past nine o'clock in the night, she collapsed in the chair and was too exhausted to get up.

Leonardo was not far away from her. He was not so good at medicine, but he could do a lot of odd jobs. At this time, he was also tired and parched, so he yelled, "Anthea, get me a bottle of water!"

"You go get by yourself. I feel dead on my feet!" Anthea did not move at all.

"Damn, you're so ruthless!" Leonardo cried, "It's on the shelf behind you! As long as you get up and stretch your arm, you can reach it!"

Anthea was too lazy to move an inch, saying, "I can't even lift a finger now!"

But just when she finished, she stood up all of a sudden.

Leonardo thought she would get him some water to drink, but she rushed straight out of the tent and ran towards a tall and strong figure.

Just now, she was lying there like a boneless dog with no strength to hold a bottle of water. Now, upon seeing Adam, she darted out like a puppy seeing a bone!

Leonardo was so angry that he kept scolding her for being so cruel to a friend and being so nice to a boyfriend!

Anthea ran all the way to Adam and almost bumped into Adam when she suddenly stopped before him.

Adam stretched out his hands just in time to keep her steady.

In a hurry, Anthea stood firm. While smoothing her hair, she said, "You are finally back!"

"Hmm," Adam said, his big palm patting her head.

Anthea's heart gave a sudden leap due to his little intimate act. After she calmed down, she asked, "Are you tired?"

He had exactly the same appearance as when she first saw him at the previous disaster area - his military uniform was soaked, his clothes hems, cuffs, and boots were stained with mud, and his handsome face with a shadow of exhaustion.

"I'm alright." Adam gazed into her eyes as he asked, "What about you?"

"I'm fine too." Anthea bit her lips lightly.

At this time, members of the rescue team that had been sent out had come back. They walked to the military tents with their wet coats in their hands, and all of them were tired and drooped their heads.

Anthea cast a casual look at them and asked in surprise, "Hey, why didn't I see Brother Declan? Didn't he come with you this time?"

After getting off the car in the evening, everyone was out for the rescue mission. However, she did not seem to see Declan all the time. The troop he belonged to should be in the charge of Adam.

"Er, yes. He is back to the army." Adam said lightly.

"Really?" Anthea was very surprised.

Adam nodded and kept a straight face. "Yes, he suddenly has a special mission."

"Oh!" Anthea believed it and did not ask much.

However, Carter, standing next to Adam, shifted his eyes from his boss' face and shook his head with his arms around his shoulders.
