Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1147

When Adam came back, he saw her sitting there alone with her phone in her hands and a worried look on her face.

He put his arm around her shoulder and asked, "What's wrong, Anthea?"

"Ah!" Anthea jolted and shook her head. "I'm fine. You're back!"

"Yes." Adam nodded.

He looked at her little face with concern, thinking that she wasn't feeling well or that something had happened to her.

Anthea took a closer look at his face.

The neon lights came in through the window nearby, and the light shadows on his handsome face. His deep-set black eyes were as deep as an ancient pool, and she was lost in them.

She bit her lip and suddenly said, "Uncle-in-law, I don't want to go back tonight!"

"Do you want to go home?" Adam asked.

He mentioned last time that the place was their home and even gave her a key. He sounded very natural when he mentioned it now.

"Yes!" Anthea nodded and said, "The worst thing that can happen is that I'll have to run laps again.

Anyway, you'll be there with me!"

Adam laughed and caressed the top of her head.

Of course, he wouldn't have her run laps again.

He lied about her ankle being twisted when they left the mountain and could use that as an excuse, saying that she needed to stay in the hospital overnight.

Adam took her hand and led her out of the hospital. He took her to a restaurant for dinner first, and then they went back to his place in the living quarters of the army compound.

He turned on the light above the doorway, and the orange light gave the room some warmth.

The inside was still spotless, and the air was fresh. It felt as if they were a couple who had just come back from work.

When Anthea bent down to open the shoe cabinet, she saw a pair of woman's slippers on the shelf.

They were pink and had bows with polka dots on them.

She cried out in surprise, "When did you buy them?"

Adam smiled and said, "After you left last time, I asked the cleaning lady to get them for me."

Anthea put her feet in, and the size was perfect. She was over the moon when she wore them.

She now felt even more like the lady of the house.

They walked inside through the doorway. After having a glass of water in the living room, Anthea pushed the door to the master bedroom open without glancing at the guestroom. She marched into the room and switched on the light.

He didn't follow her inside.

"Why don't you come in?" Anthea turned around and looked at the tall man standing outside the door.

Seeing that he didn't move, she grabbed his hand and dragged him toward her. "What are you afraid of? I won't eat you!"

Adam sighed in resignation.

She should be the one who was afraid.

Adam let her drag him into the bedroom. He cleared his throat and said, "Anthea, are you going to sleep with me tonight?"

"Yes! It's not like we haven't slept together before!" Anthea nodded matter-of-factly.

Again, Adam was speechless.

He saw that she was checking him out, and her long eyelashes looked like little fans when she blinked.

It was as if she had come up with some naughty
