Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1197

Anthea actually woke up from a horrible nightmare.

She dreamed of the dreadful thing she had experienced during the day.

She asked Kairi to run back to ask for help, and then the two hooligans took her away. Along the way, they threw her in the snow, and one of them pressed on her. They were going to rape her!

Her back was covered with cold sweat. When she opened her eyes and saw the pair of deep-set black eyes, her heart instantly calmed down.

She was no longer afraid and panic.

Adam was sitting on a chair at her bedside with his long legs crossed. His back was straight, and the orange light of the ward was shining on his head and shoulders, casting a warm cozy glow on him.

Anthea remembered that she also saw him sitting beside her when she woke up from an operation for acute appendicitis.

It gave her a warm feeling in her heart. She smiled, revealing a row of small white teeth. "Hm..."

"Anthea, do you have a headache? Do you feel dizzy? The doctor said that you have a concussion, so you might feel dizzy and vomit after you wake up. And do you have any discomfort in any area of your body? If so, you must tell me immediately, and I'll call the nurse!" Adam got up and said a lot with uneasiness.

"I feel all right!" Anthea said.

Adam's eyes swept across her plastered left leg hanging in the air, and he said with a frown, "But your left shin was broken and has been put in a cast during the operation."

Anthea nodded and smiled at him, "Well, after surviving such an unexpected trouble, I'll be blessed!"

"..." Adam was speechless, the corner his mouth slightly twitching.

Looking at Anthea's careless look, he helplessly pinched her little nose.

He had been worried sick!

However, although she appeared a little weak when she just woke up, her clear eyes were still bright. It seemed that this misfortune did not cause serious physical trauma in her heart, which relieved him a lot.

Adam stepped forward and helped her sit up. Then he raised the pillow and let her lean against it.

On the table next to him, there was a nutritious meal sent by the nurse not long ago, which was still warm. When Anthea just woke up, she had no appetite. He only fed her half a bowl of chicken porridge, and he drank the rest directly.

He had been waiting anxiously for her to wake up for much of the day, so he did not eat anything.

Just as he put down the bowl and chopsticks, there was a knock on the ward door.

They looked over and found that it was not the nurse but the couple they met in the mountain. They came with a fruit basket and flowers.

Kairi poked her head in from outside. "Anthea, the nurse said that you're awake. Can I come in and see you?"

"Of course!" Anthea said hurriedly and looked at them in surprise. "Why are you still here? Haven't you returned yet?"

The young couple came from a neighboring city. Yesterday, when they went up to the mountain, they had talked to each other.

Kairi came in hand in hand with her husband. She shook her head and said, "No. After taking our statement at the police station in the evening, we stayed in the hotel. I had been worried about you in my heart. If I couldn't be sure that you were awake and fine, I couldn't bear to leave!" "Don't worry, I'm fine. It's nothing serious!" Anthea said with a smile.

As soon as she finished her words, she felt that Adam next to her seemed to have given her a cold glance.

Kairi's husband placed the fruit basket and flowers on the table, walked to Anthea, and bowed very solemnly. "Miss Lee, thank you!"

"Yes, Anthea, thank you so much!" Kairi immediately echoed, "If you hadn't saved me, I might still have been in danger now! Even when I came out of the hotel a moment ago, I was so scared and felt like crying. It was too scary! Anthea, you are a brave girl, a real heroine!"

The young couple looked at her, particularly sincerely.

Anthea blushed a little with embarrassment.

Hearing their pretty compliment, Anthea could not help feeling delighted and proud.

This was the second time that she was called as a heroine.
