Time flew.
In the blink of an eye, it was the last day of the holiday. Crystal's internship was about to come to an end and she would go back to school tomorrow.
The doctors in the emergency department were bustling about every day, but she was still a student, so she could only do something basic, like taking care of the patients, and answer some basic medical questions.
When she went to the locker room to get changed in the evening, she met another intern, who was her schoolfellow.
This intern was in her fourth year in the college and her father was the principal. She had received Crystal on Crystal’s first day at the school, and felt that Crystal was both beautiful and lively, and helped her a lot in school.
Crystal’s internship in this hospital was actually arranged by her.
After a busy day, both of them were very tired.
This was just their internship. When they graduated from medical school and became real doctors, they would be more tired than now. But the more tired they were, the heavier the responsibility on their shoulders would be. Anthea had told Crystal more than once since she wanted to study medicine.
Being a doctor, she must have a sense of mission.
Crystal kept this in her mind all the time.
She hung the white coat neatly in the wardrobe and wondered what she would eat at night. There was a fried chicken shop near the school. She could order takeout from this shop.
As soon as she took out the phone, the intern came over and asked, "Have you heard that Kayden transferred to another school?"
Crystal liked her very much, so she had told her about breaking up with Kayden.
"Yes!" Crystal nodded.
Since that night in the pub, she had removed Kayden from her world.
"It seems that his family will send him abroad! I guess that he is too ashamed to stay in the school anymore! Although the news has been suppressed, walls have ears. He was sent to the police station for the crime of attempted rape. He has lost all his face!" The intern gossiped.
"Yeah!" Crystal was indifferent.
Since she broke up with him that night,
Kayden had tried to contact her again, but she directly put him in the blacklist.
The intern knew the reason why Crystal and Kayden broke up and was also very angry. She comforted Crystal, "Crystal, don't be discouraged! You will definitely meet a good man in the future!"
Crystal felt that these words sounded familiar. Erik had said the same thing.
"I’m looking forward to that day!" She smiled.
After leaving the hospital, she took a taxi back to her apartment.
Just as she had expected, the fried chicken was delivered not long after she arrived home.
She couldn’t cook, just like her mother. But fortunately, she could eat at the dining hall of the school, so she could only order takeaways during the holiday.
Although the fried chicken looked fine, it did not taste very good.
While she was gnawing on a chicken leg, she couldn’t help thinking of the exquisite food Erik made for her that day.
It was so delicious that she just wanted to taste it again.
“I’m going to find a boyfriend who could cook!” This idea suddenly appeared in her mind.
After dinner, she simply took a shower and went to bed.
At eleven o'clock, it was very dark outside.
Crystal remembered her promise at Erik's place. This time, she completely dried her hair, changed into her pajamas, closed the window, and then went to sleep.
She turned off all the lights.
Just as she was drowsy, a sound came from the door.
