Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1653

Dylan... We can't go back...

In the corridor outside of the ward...

After Isla went away, there were only Tina and Dylan left.

Dylan stood under the shadow created by the window and wall, and he looked as stiff as a rock that had gone through many years of winds and rains.

He looked very haggard indeed.

He seemed to be several years older than he was. His lips were covered with a little bit of dried skin, and his eyes were red because of the lack of good rest.

Dylan opened his mouth. "Tina..."

His voice was hoarse beyond recognition.

Yesterday, after Dylan left the hospital yesterday, he did two things.

The first thing was to investigate the truth of the tragic incident which occurred five years ago.

Most of the servants in the Koo family had worked there for many years, especially an old servant. This old servant had served Lilith since she married into the Koo family.

The servants in the house all kept quiet about it, but under the pressure of their young master, they had to reveal the truth more or less. Dylan learned that five years ago, it was Lilith who invited Tina out on the excuse of negotiating with her the night before the two of them were supposed to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register for their marriage certificate.

After that, Dylan talked to Aspry.

From his father, Dylan learned that it was not because Tina wanted to sever her ties with the Koo family mercilessly five years ago.

She was actually driven away from the Koo family for her pregnancy before marriage. Lilith blamed Tina for damaging the Koo family's reputation.

When Aspry talked about such things that happened a long time ago, he was very disappointed.

In fact, he was also very remorseful. He was so angry back then that he said some very harsh words to Tina. Moreover, he didn't adamantly oppose his wife's decision to drive Tina away from the Koo family. Even if Tina had done something wrong, as her adoptive father, Aspry should have been more considerate to Tina, and been more prudent not to be cheated by others easily.

In the end, Dylan learned about all the details of this tragic incident.

He felt as if a bucket of icy water had been poured down from his head. The muscles all over his body tightened, and his face was almost twitching.

His heart was full of sorrow.

The second thing Dylan did was to talk to Selene, his fiancee.

Dylan took two steps forward. "Tina, I'm sorry!"

His voice was as hoarse as a piece of iron sheet that had been grounded by iron coarse sandpaper.

Tina's lips moved slightly.

The next second, he suddenly pulled her into his arms.

Dylan seemed to have exerted all his strength, and he was even trembling.

He murmured in the same hoarse voice, "Tina, I'm sorry! I know everything now. I'm sorry, sorry for that..."

He repeated it over and over again.

Tina's heart was as emotionless as a block of wood. She didn't know how to express her own feeling.

She struggled slightly, but failed to break away from his embrace. She felt his body trembling and knew that he must be very emotional at the moment.

Tina sighed. "Dylan, please let go of me first..."

However, Dylan didn't let go of her.

He once let go of her five years ago, and he had thus suffered for five years.

He couldn't let go of her this time.

For so many years, Dylan had in fact never been able to let go of the fact that Tina used to be his lover.

He had always thought that Tina was a ruthless and merciless girl who only played tricks with him and even betrayed him. She tortured him as if he was a toy that could be discarded at any moment.

However, the truth turned out to be...

Dylan hugged Tina tightly. "I already knew what had happened five years ago, and the reason why you didn't show up in the Civil Affairs Bureau to register for our marriage! What I hate most now is myself! I didn't even know anything about it. I just thought that I was the victim, that you had betrayed me..."

Now he knew that his dear Tina was not that kind of person.

She might not love him, but she would never do such merciless things to him.

Dylan always remembered the desperation he felt after he had waited at the Civil Affairs Bureau for a day and a night. But how could he know the pain and suffering she was going through at the same time?
