Tina's voice was calm and self-restraint.
After listening to her words, Wilson's face became gloomy, as if a storm was brewing in his heart.
"Tina Hall, do you think I'll agree with it?" he asked, his voice furious and trembling.
Tina could feel his rage and suspision.
However, she mustered up her courage to look directly into his eyes. "Whether you agree with it or not, I don't care, and I have already made up my mind!"
She thought she had been trapped in the mire.
If she didn't stop the loss in time, she would probably lose everything someday.
Perhaps Tina could continue to be Wilson's secret mistress, just as they did in the past. However, it was totally unacceptable for her to keep on being his secret mistress after his engagement with Ab by. She thought that being so was in violation of the code of ethics. She couldn't accept the arrangement of the so-called "concubine kept in a splendid abode".
Tina clenched her fists and straightened her body.
In the face of Wilson's gloomy face, she said with a smile, "President Chin, when we first ended our relationship, it was you who proposed it. I had no objection to it and agreed immediately. It's me who proposed it this time, and I hope you will also respect my decision!"
A good turn deserves another. Was't it fair to each of them?
The blue veins on Wilson's temple bulged slightly.
Tina called him "Wilson" in the past, but now she called him "President Chin", just as she did when the two of them met for the first time.
Wilson curled up his lips, but suddenly smiled.
However, there was an air of despair and sharpness in his smile. "Are you really sure you want to quit?"
Behind the glasses, Wilson's eyes were full of darkness, and the expression on his face could be described as sad although he was smiling.
Tina was in a daze as if her heart had been torn into pieces by the sad truth of separation.
She thought the smile on Wilson's face might be her illusion.
Tina nodded slowly. "Yes, I want to quit!"
Wilson's lips loosened as he lost the last hope. He gazed at Tina plaintive for a long while, and then he suddenly turned around.
With his back to her, he strode away, trying to suppress the surging anger in his heart.
Tina watched Wilson as he adamantly left and disappeared into the elevator. Then, she squatted down sadly.
The lamplight shone on her head, and her shadow was dark and lonesome.
Tina suddenly felt that her face was a little itchy. She raised her hand and touched it. It was because tears had rolled down her cheeks.
Under the dim light of night, the Rolls-Royce was waiting inside the hospital.
Terry, who was browsing hot news on his mobile phone, immediately straighten up when he heard that the door of the car was opened.
But when he looked back, he saw that his boss was the only one coming. He asked in surprise, "Mr. Chin, why did you come out alone? Where's Miss Hall..."
Immediately after they flew back from the business trip abroad, they came here directly from the airport.
All the luggage was still kept in the car trunk.
Terry's question abruptly halted when he noticed that Wilson's eyes were sharp and wretched.
Wilson said in a low voice, "Let's go!"
It was as if these three words carried with them the coldness of ice shards.
Terry didn't dare even to breathe heavily. He immediately started the engine and drove the Rolls-Royce out of the hospital.
The light inside the car was dim. Terry looked at the rearview mirror secretly, only to see that Wilson's face was as dark as lacquer. He appeared to be on the verge of losing his temper.
Terry was shocked.
Was he... Crossed in love again?
Although it was the weekend the next day, Tina still went to work as usual.
After the Chinese Saint Valentine's Day passed, the next major holiday would be the Mid- Autumn Festival, which featured reunion of family members.
According to the arrangement of the national government, there would be three consecutive days of holiday for the upcoming the Mid-Autumn Festival next week. That's why some of the employees of the TV station, such as Tina, had to work on Saturday.
Tina's colleagues were not tired or dispirited at all.
They were happily expecting the three days of holiday. Tina, however, was the only one who looked haggard, as if she was a wheat seedling bent by pressure.
