Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1957

The reason why Desmond agreed to get married was very simple.

He was forced to do so by his grandfather.

After Old Master Borbon was diagnosed with medium-phase liver cancer, he told his grandson that if he refused to accept the marriage arrangement, he would refuse to accept any medical treatment in turn. As the Old Master was the only elder in the whole family, if Desmond refused the marriage arrangement, he would be scolded by everyone and have to face serious moral criticism.

Desmond understood his grandfather quite well. This old man was good at performing the role of a grandfather who was deeply depressed by his disobedient grandson.

Desmond originally planned that he would accept the marriage arrangement. If, after a number of years, the Old Master passed away, he could then get a divorce and be freed again.

However, Desmond still didn't know why Mia Chadwick agreed to marry him.

Mia panicked at Desmond's sudden question.

If Desmond was careful enough and looked at Mia closely, he would find that her cheeks were flushed, yet there was an air of excitement in her expression.

Mia thought that it would be inappropriate to tell her husband that she simply loved him, and felt that he was her Mr. Right. She was too shy to say that.

After holding back her emotions for a long time, Mia finally found a reason. "Because you're relatively handsome!"

This was indeed a reasonable reason.

Desmond to pleased to hear that. "Your taste isn't bad."

Noticing that Desmond was not suspicious of her words, Mia heaved a sigh of relief.

In fact, Desmond was a handsome young man. His figure was tall and straight, and his facial features were good-looking. When he smiled, he looked a little mischievous, and at the same time a little unrestrained. He was simply like the hero of a Manga series, and he could always give others the impression of being special.

On the way to the company...

When the car stopped at red light, Desmond flicked his curly hair while looking at the reflection of him on the glass. on the front windshield. He then exclaimed, "How can a girl like her refuse a handsome and clever man like me!"

The driver of the car felt very embarrassed. "..."

"Well... The boss has started being narcissistic again," he thought.

A driver had also been designated to Mia.

By the time Desmond returned home from work, the car picking up Mia had already been back.

Mia had asked for a leave from her academic tutor because of her marriage to Desmond. However, she didn't want to delay her study, and therefore she returned to the college the day after the wedding ceremony. In other words, Desmond and Mia didn't have a honeymoon.

"Cra... Cra... Cra..."

As soon as Desmond entered the house, he was almost surrounded and attacked.

He looked to the left side of the yard and found that a new fence had been erected, which was exactly the same as the one he saw in the countryside.

The seven big and white geese, which were brought here from the countryside, stared at Desmond aggressively.

Desmond was petrified.

When these geese were moved to the city, they were temporarily kept in Old Master Borbon's house at the beginning. Now that Desmond and Mia were living in their new house after the marriage, these geese were transferred here during the daytime today. It was said that the Old Master felt pitiful having to leave these geese.

Desmond was in a "deadlock" with the aggressive big and white goose when Mia ran out of the fence.

Just now, she was squatting and feeding the geese with grass, and her figure was blocked by the fence.

Mia had changed into a pair of suspender shorts of jeans, which made her look like a teenager. She perhaps wanted to make it more convenient to work.

Desmond felt as if Mia was indeed his daughter.

He took the initiative to ask, "How were you doing at school today?"

"Damn it! It's more like I have a daughter..." Desmond thought.

Mia nodded. "Uh-huh!"

Desmond frowned when he noticed how obedient the big and white geese had become as soon as Mia appeared. "You're raising these geese... Are you going to eat them when they become bigger?"

The Iron-pot Stewed Goose and the Stewed Goose with Peppers were both delicious dishes.

"I don't want to kill them at all!" Mia shook her head. "Geese are actually very good animals. They can help me to look after my house!"

Desmond was stunned. "..."

If geese were so useful, what's the use of keeping dogs?

Desmond's head ached when he looked at the geese. He tried to change the topic of conversation. "Grandpa had called me just now. He wanted us to call upon him this evening. Mom and Dad will also be there!"

In fact, Desmond and Mia should have called upon his parents after the wedding ceremony, according to social customs.

However, as the relationship between Desmond and his parents was intimate and casual, Mr. and Mrs. Chin actually had not required their son and daughter-in-law to call upon them. They just let them do whatever they liked.

Mia nodded obediently. "Okay!"

After dinner, Old Master Borbon took out a big red packet of money from his pocket.

It contained a thick pile of money.
