It was past eleven o'clock at night upon the end of the movie.
The car was parked in the underground parking lot. Desmond fastened his seatbelt and asked casually when he started the engine, "Did you enjoy the movie?"
Mia nodded. "I liked it very much!"
The performing arts of the actors/actresses were remarkable and admirable. The plot was wonderful and exciting, and the director was very talented and professional.
More importantly, this was the first time for Mia to watch a movie alone with a man, and they were even sitting in a lovers' seat. This was such a meaningful milestone for Mia.
Desmond originally asked Mia this question out of courtesy. However, when he saw her lovely smile and satisfaction, he blurted out, "If you want to see another movie, you can tell me at any moment."
Mia smiled. "Uh-huh."
After Desmond drove the car back to their villa, he parked it in the garage. Then, he found that Mia had fallen asleep inside the car.
Mia's biological clock was very accurate.
Sleep at eleven o'clock at night, and wake up at seven o'clock in the morning...
It was already past eleven o'clock when the movie ended. The beautiful neon lights made the street scenes at night more fascinating. Mia, who was sitting on the passenger seat, was unable to resist her sleepiness.
Seeing that Mia didn't show any signs of waking up, Desmond walked to the car door on the other side, held her up, and carried her into the villa.
He then put her down on their wedding bed.
In the evening of the next day, before the two of them set off to call upon Old Master Borbon's house for dinner, Mia changed into a new red cheongsam, which befitted her very much a new wife.
Desmond couldn't help recall that Mia was also wearing a red dress and, setting off by her black hair and snow-white skin, she looked charming on the bed.
She was also sexy in the eyes of Desmond, as she was a young girl in good shape.
When Desmond was helping her to change into her pajamas, he gradually felt thirsty out of eagerness.
He suddenly realized that he was seriously drunk on the wedding night, and therefore the two of them didn't have a normal wedding night at all.
Desmond had flirted with countless girls in the past, and there were countless women who wanted to become his girlfriend. However, he was serious with only two girls, Abby Amery and Tina Hall. When he was young and relatively ignorant, he used to regard Abby as his dream lover. Later, he fell in love with Tina, and thought that she was the most charming girl in the world.
As for the other girls, Desmond had never become their boyfriend. He just enjoyed flirting with them. For this reason, these girls could only be said to be his "female companions".
And that's all. That was to say, no relationship of lovers existed between Desmond and the girls.
At this moment, Desmond looked at his beautiful wife lying on the bed. His heart was beating fast, and his blood was boiling with passion. He was so deeply attracted by her female fascination.
He just wanted to tear down her red cheongsam...
He stretched out his hand with erotic intention in his mind...
However, when his hand was about to touch the chest of his wife, Desmond halted his movement, as he found incidentally that Mia's sleeping face was lovely and innocent.
Although they were now husband and wife, the emotional foundation for the two of them was not solid enough, after all. Desmond wanted to treat a woman like a lady always, and he didn't want to behave like a villian.
In order to better subdue his eagerness, Desmond turned off the lights when he was changing into his pajamas later on.
Nothing special had happened during that night.
The next day happened to be the weekend. According to social customs, the newlyweds should go back to the wife's home.
The attitude of Desmond's parents was that the social rituals on their side could be ignored, but those on Mia's parents' side must still be fulfilled.
As Mia virtually had no family members now, Desmond's parents suggested that they should go back to her hometown to pay their respects to Daniel Chadwick, Mia's grandfather.
Although it was supposed to be a joyous thing for the newlyweds to return home today, Mia still changed into a suit of clothes in light colors, because the two of them would pay respects to Mia's grandfather's tomb today.
She dragged her suitcase out of the cabinet.
Desmond, who was making a phone call by the window, happened to see that Mia's suitcase contained only a number of clothes, while a larger space was allotted to contain a box.
Desmond looked at the shape of the box in surprise. "Is this a violin case?"
"Yes." Mia nodded.
Desmond asked, "Are you majoring in music?"
"No." Mia shook her head. After thinking for a while, she continued, "Playing the violin is just a hobby for me!"
Desmond nodded and didn't inquire further about it.
There were a great variety of clubs in college. Desmond thought that Mia might have joined a music club, and she played the violin simply for fun.
He hung up the phone. "Pack your things up first. I'll drive the car out."
Mia said, "Uh-huh!"
