Emily cleared her throat and dropped the subject gruffly. "Have you treated the patient?"
Simon put his hands in the pockets of his doctor's coat and walked over lazily. He said in a reassuring tone, which was completely different from when he left. "Well, rejection after the operation. He's fine now."
"Oh." Emily nodded.
Simon didn't sit back on the chair, instead, he went straight to her and sat on the table, one leg swinging. He looked a bit frivolous but incredibly sensual.
He stretched out his long arms and pulled over her chair. He looked down at her and asked, "Mrs. Chin, do you want to see if I'm cheating on you tonight?"
"No!" Emily's face turned red from embarrassment. She had no choice but to say frankly, "I bought a gift for you..."
"What?" Simon asked with great interest.
"It's a..." Emily pursed her lips and mumbled.
Seeing that he was staring straight at her, she finally plucked up the courage. "I bought you a shirt! Here, it's cheap, one hundred dollars. If you don't like it, just throw it away!"
Then, Emily zipped her bag open.
She pulled at the clear wrappings and took out a charcoal-gray shirt. However, it was a plain, causal shirt, didn't bear comparison with the designer piece brought by Quinn. There was nothing special about it.
Emily's heart sank because she thought Simon wouldn't like it.
When Quinn took that out, she had already planned not to take it out. Unexpectedly, he just asked her about it. She pursed her lips and said, "It doesn't matter if you don't like it. Honest, I prefer the one Miss Koo bought. That's a designer shirt! I saw it in the shopping mall, but I'm not as rich as her. That suits you very well. But this one..."
Before she finished, he suddenly stood up and took off his doctor's coat, followed by his green surgical gown. She also stood up and said, "Hey, what are you doing!"
"What are you thinking, lecher!" Simon took off his surgical gown, revealing his perfect pecs, but he seriously. "I'm going to try on it!"
"..." Emily gritted her teeth. What were she thinking of?
While speaking, Simon had already put on the shirt. He was buttoning up in front of the mirror on the closet door.
"It's nice, I like it."
Simon slanted towards her, and he lazily curled up his lips. "Good job, my best girl!"
Hearing how he addressed her, her heart raced uncontrollably and sounded so loud as if someone was banging a drum in her chest. Watching him roll up his cuffs, she bit her lip and asked, "Do you like it?"
"Mn." Simon nodded.
He smiled, his eyes full of laughter. Seeing he was not lying to her, she began to feel relieved, but she murmured tentatively, "But it's cheap. I know you'll only wear clothes with a designer label, but this one is not. I bought it in a discount store. Miss Koo bought that one in a shopping mall. That's very expensive, limited edition and..."
"It's perfect, because you bought it for me!" Simon interrupted her abruptly.
"..." Emily's eyelashes trembled.
She made it different?
She turned her face casually and secretly gasped, feeling that every cell in her body was filled with pleasure.
