Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 842

The tea room was very lively. Some colleagues were gathered together, making jokes with an intern in their department, and the boy's face was flushed bright red. Despite that, he still held onto the knitting needle with several woolen threads twisting around his fingers. It seemed that he was weaving a scarf and nearly finished it.

Emily went over to him and asked curiously, "Mr. Linzell, I didn't expect you to love knitting!"

"It's not what you think!" The boy shook his head in embarrassment and explained, "Sister Emily, do you remember the ballet tickets you got for me? The girl I loved enjoyed the show very much, so I want to take the chance when she was happy to knit a scarf for her. I hope this hand-made gift can touch her, and she'll agree to be my girlfriend!"

"So it's a gift for your goddess!" It suddenly dawned on Emily.

The boy scratched his head in embarrassment. "Hehe, yes! Hand- made gifts are quite popular nowadays, aren't they? In the past, it's always the girls who made things for their beloved ones. But now, boys like to do such things instead. Some of my roommates have knitted scarves for their girlfriends, so I also want to make one for her. It's not expensive, but I think it's the thought and effort that counts." "That's true!" Emily nodded in agreement.

Now, people might think highly of material value, but any item bought with money was far less valuable than the gift personally made.

The boy asked with a smile, "Sister Emily, you have also received some hand-made gifts, haven't you?" "No!" Emily shook her head.

She had had a long-term campus romance, but they had never sent each other gifts of this kind, not to mention hand-made gifts.

Suddenly, the image of a man's slender and jade-like fingers holding knitting needles appeared in her mind. She could not help smiling and muttered with joy, "But soon, I'll have a gift like this..."

When they got off work in the evening, Tina remembered that Emily's birthday was coming and asked if she planned to have a meal with others to celebrate it.

Every year before, she and Simon would drive back to her aunt's house in the town to celebrate her birthday. But this time, her aunt called in advance to tell her not to come back. Because she was pregnant, her aunt did not want her to get tired. Therefore, she would stay in Ice city this time. That was why Tina wanted to take this chance to celebrate it for her.

However, Emily was thinking about spending the day with Simon, just like what her aunt had suggested. So, she shook her head and refused. "Not tonight. Next time!"

Tina knew what she was up to, so she smiled and did not insist.

She came out of the office building and saw that the black Cayenne had already parked on the side of the road. Simon, tall and straight, stood beside the car with his hands in his pocket. There were sparkles in his peach blossom eyes. Emily walked over quickly.

After returning home, they changed their shoes and walked in.

At first glance, Emily noticed a pink item without knitting needles on the tea table. She turned around and asked in surprise, "Beast, have you finished knitting?"

Simon carried a cup of warm water and came out of the dining room. "Well, I happened to have some time to finish it when I was on duty last night!"

Emily held the cup. Even though what she drank was just water, she felt a touch of sweetness on the tip of her tongue.

She walked to the sofa and sat down, thinking about the words of the boy at noon. Her heart beat fast because of excitement. When she held her breath and reached out to pick up the pink item, she felt so happy, as if there were sweet pink bubbles bursting out from the bottom of her heart.

The boy made a scarf, and so did Simon. However, she still felt that something was wrong.

It seemed to be too short for her.

Emily picked it up and checked it over several times but still felt it was too short. It could barely make a circle around her neck. Besides, it was not wide enough...

Just when she was puzzled, something fell out of the pink scarf.

Stunned, Emily lowered her head to pick up the things at her feet. They were pink, too. A pair of pink stockings with laces?!

Struck dumb, she instantly stood up from the sofa and said, "You..."

"Simon, did you make them for our baby?"

Emily held the little scarf in her left hand and two tiny socks in her right hand that only babies could wear. What a funny scene!

"Oh." Simon slightly curled up the corner of his lips. With a faint smile in her peach blossom eyes, he asked, "What's wrong?"
